Mr Leffe The Landseer

Some do have a hard time landing

A dream, a wish, fascination, exitement well everything

I have had a dream for many years to see the Midnight sun. It is only possible
if you go very far north above the polarcirle. After 3 days traveling through the
big forests in Sweden and finaly into Norway and Lofoten Island, we came to our destination.

Standing there feeling the smell from the sea. The flod, the seagull warning we are to close to the nest.
Well it was very special. After 2500 km a release.

Something I didn't have in mind was the fog. Will I be able to see what I have come for?

The sky changed, and all of sudden in daylight but in the middle of the night This came a long
Just in case it will get dark.
Just by the shore there she is. It all was quiet and a grand feeling running through me
Almost on top of the world. Listening to the waves and looking at the sun was so great.

This bright night with all natures special effects was just amazing.

Someone was there with me.

To sleep on the road is not so safe after all.

So so confusing. So very clear yet with fog.

The drying fish almost red by reflection from the sun.

I had to take one more look, it is going to be a memory for life. And she is so so beautiful.

On our way home to take a sleep.I was to exited.

Now I will have no problems going to sleep

All these pictures are taken between 23.30 and 03.00. No flash or tripod it was no need.

My trip

Thank you Agneta
Lets start, very early morning.I fell sleep finally on the bus. Arlanda seemed empty. Well
it was not.

My turn, already lunch Mmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmm (Could someone help me to spell please):D :D :D :D

Even in bad weather a fairytale

The smell of forest and sea.

Seagulls everywhere telling us we are to close.

The beauty was with us all the time.

It was never dark even thou we had a fantastic sunset.

Old tradition. Beautiful work from craftmen.

Once upon a time.....

Four days of eye pleasure and neverending

On my way back home.

Whats inside the Yellow house

Sometimes I do try to look in the window to see some more. This house is very special.

Following the night by the hour

Last night I made up my mind.
I followed the night by the hour and I started at 11 pm
This should be the darkest hour at this time of the year.
We don't have the midnight sun. We live to far south, but we are effected
by the midnight sun. It is not dark nights at this time of the year.

Well now the birds are signing and it is light outside. I had a lot of tea
and my eye was a bit like this :eyes: :eyes: :eyes:

Rakuware and Blackware

Today, a day I have been looking forward to. Clay day, Rakuware, and Blackware.
Pouring rain, a lot of burning and good hopes. Solving problems, like no water on the items.
No cats and dogs sleeping in the Owen. What to eat, because we will get hungry.
Every spring and autumn we meet, some friends, with this burning interest.

Rakuware is an technique used to burn the cups for the Japanese tea ceremony. It is a fast metod
of Glaceinig pottery.

The burning takes about 20 minutes. At a temperature of 1000 degrees.

The glacing is melting and shining.

From this moment it has to be very quick . The temperature is dropping fast and it has an inpact on the glacing.
We do put the pottery in a big barrel with sawdust and cover it with sawdust. It is a proccess that is fast ,the glacing will get different colour depending on how much oxygien is coming to
the glacing.

In every moment the clay and glacing is affected. All depending on what kind of clay in combination with the glacing, The time material is in the sawdust and mind you weather.
And how fast the owen will reach to the temperature 1000 degrees.
The process is stopped by putting the item in cold water. Even this in high tempo to slow
And the item will crack. Some result.

Black ware[B/]
A very old method to burn Clay.
It is a slow method. The pottery comes out black and it reaches a temperature of 800 degrees
It can be preformed in different ways but the process is slow and with very little oxygen . If it is too fast there is a risk of explosion in the items. It it has to be burning for long time .

The barrel is filled with sawdust and items in layers the last items are covered with a thick layers sawdust . the fire is lit on top and slowly it will burn down .

To eat we had Cheese pai, Salad, Coffee and Cake.

Beast and the Beauty

In january I made a visit in a place I call the Beast and the Beauty . Why? I do indeed feel like that visiting this area.
I know … I do live by hopes. Even so in this case . The community is fighting decisions made by the Government and I do love it very much . So lets walk with me.To the most highly polluted area in Sweden I would say .(The Beast) there is a fire in this pile of heavy polluted industrial garbage, no longer used for that matter. People and community are fighting a decision made by the Government in their own way. Let say there is some hope .Let us go to the Beauty.

It is slowly recovering our mother earth taking back healing bit by bit . Before no grass no trees only a big smelly giant.

Now steps 428 to be exact. The hight is 200m not so much .This wooden stair way has been donated by private people and companies. On every step there is a name of the donor.

There is Art here . Five beautiful stops a bench in each and everyone for those with tired legs and no camera.

Finally on the top. The view is grand, the evening sun, This fantastic art gallery but
Do not step every where .

This big pile is on fire it has been for more than 50 years and it will
be for another 100 years at least.

There is going to be another giant the industry is burning all highly polluted garbage in our
Country and our household garbage The energy that comes out here is used to warm up the towns nearby. And the smoke is very clean they run tests every day.But from below it doesn't show.

Now the open air gallery. Artists have made installations permanent here . Every year there is a new sculpture . No more words .

It is time to leave.

One thing is now for sure there will be no digging here. I am happy for that.
We do need to ask our selves a few questions no matter what.
Do we need it ? Why ?
Do I want it ? Why?
Is it important ? For what ?

We went back home one more time

I invited my sister and we decided to go back.We had a picnic in the very best spot.
By the lake. It took a bit of time all memories and laughter.

There where some other swimmers there. He had a bad temper.

We had to keep distance as this is private owned.

My sister is a good investigator. A memorial stone from 1800 and some .....But it is big.

they are looking at meeeeeeeeeeee....I have to go.

Take a walk with me

Going Back Home,

Memories, places, buildings,
I wanted to go back home. To spend some time in an enviroment
that is so familiar. And yet so far, far away. A piece of my childhood.
The forest so deep.If you get lost you are in trouble, mile after mile.........just too big to handle.

The herd of deer sometimes 40-50 animals. People here call them rats
they eat almost every flower in your garden.

I am happy, the deer does not like the Wild-growing Daffodil. This area is unique just because
of these Daffodils and also protected. We are not allowed to pick any of these flowers.

The very old building. The Butlers home and stables.(Long time ago)

This house was once my dream. But only a dream Workers home (Long time ago).

The church-bell was a birthday-present it is the youngest building and never showing the right time.

The old wooden Church Unique built 1633 still the same and protected easily repaired
and private owned.

To walk around here is like to enter a museum of old times. It is all owned by one family and it is very much coloured by it. The difference between people, the culture, the daily life, is big. In many ways so attractive, yet so scary, the feeling of slow movement, and just so beautiful. This is it, but there is more to come.

One step at the time

One happy thought every day, maybe two or more, a smile, someone saying hello.
All the time I kept my camera with me but what came out of it. Nothing much.
I left some thoughts everyday by my thinkingstone, listening to
the birds, the most beautiful song. By the end of the day I had hardly
anything to show and to share. Today I desided to show some of pictures from the nights
I spent in my forest by the time of sunset.

My house is old , My garden is too very old

Some years ago I totaly gave up. How to make a garden look nice, well I did not succeed in any way
I have been fighting every corner trying hard to get something out of it. In all this mess I found my way. I am happy. Leffe competition is over. I will hopefully get my Strawberries out of reach for 4-legged Leffe he loves to eat them . I left some plants for him. These are mine and some more.

Most of the flowers are growing wild. I am happy for that, they grow where they like to grow
Tussilágo fárfara The first real wild flower in spring. It is choosing for it self.

Anemóne nemorósa

Scilla

One more Scilla

Viola hirta

This one I dont know. I found it today

And every day there will be something new.I desided to let it be for now.It is a great feeling
to be here with all these flowers.I also asked myself is it possible for a flower to
grow in the wrong place?
