e-Long e-Service e-Leave

MS WEB PEOPLE (.com) is still on 'long service leave'.

In the meantime, and until it returns to being hosted, being under my control and undergoing its' own re-fresh; I am spending time at:

  1. Google Blog
  2. Portal @freewebs
  3. Personal Page

Aussie Rockstar gets PRESS

A friend of my daughter Nicole is currently in Los Angeles competing in the SupaNova search for a Rockstar reality show. After a world wide search, there are only 15 left after all the elimination rounds.

The final 15 are now resident in the 'RockStar Mansion' in the Hollywood hills.

Site Change - Update

, , ,

Have finally got the Style Sheet switching the way I want, now I just need to finish all the example style sheets.

Need to add Accesskey(s)

Have changed the default page to DARK background. [Style: Artistic Trial / building a bridge]

so far so good.

Monthly Rollover - July 2006

Made changes to main site (more code related in the engine room).

I have rolled over the July Edition.

Have added a FAVICON (wheelchair.. - a bit small though)...

Move to action:

, , ,

I am a long way from where I would like to be and feel I have what it takes to actually get there. I just need to reaslise that it all takes time. Time has proven to be a relative term and the amount of time, or length of time taken, to achieve anything, is sometimes hanpered by ones' situation.

As a reader, possibly without disability, or impairment, I should be clear. My daily chores are sometimes VERY different.

I no longer drive, or own a car.
It used to be that I would just go out... when needed.

Everything Costs Money.
I no longer work or have any income except the Disability Pension. The adjustment to the other end of the 'income' scale is still one of the most difficult transitions.

Changes to Mobility result in Fundamental Changes.

I have moved to a new house. It is quite close to an accessible train station. The train runs often and can get me anywhere. However I still have to combat the M.S. Related fatique, which comes suddenly and can be quite severe (and strange...)

I am no lnger able to stand and have no weight bearing ability. I use a new Electic Wheelchair everyday, although I do have a manual chair that folds and will fit into a car. I rarely use it, as believe it or not, it quickly becomes just too hard.

So getting out of bed, showered and changed, sees the day almost gone... and by then I am really ready for a rest!

Patience is a virtue.

Early Settler

, ,

An early call

- very early, considering my history; however the current template now holds the record for length of life. I usually knock-up some new look every day and more often than not go live with it....

Current Template:

This one has stayed around longer than usual, AND if I keep waffling in this and other blogs, it may never change! (*L*) I like how it lays out, it works on anything, as far as I can tell, with resolutions equal to or better than 800x600 screen resolution. It caters for my need to experiment without it adversely effecting the site ...... so far, so good.

New Aussie Rock Star?

, , ,

Rock Star in the Network?

A friend of my daughter Nicole, Toby (from Melbourne band Juke Kartel) is currently in Los Angeles competing in the Rock Star Super Nova Reality TV show. He started here in Melbourne, actually performed (auditioned) in Sydney, got to the short list and is now in L.A.

The show (with him still in it), the second batch of it on Cable TV (Fox 8), is now being advertised again and will be on shortly.

Although he will probably never see this post, I just want to say....

*Good Luck*

It couldn't happen to a nicer bloke!

A funny Parody of George W. Worth the load time, smile
(just press the stop button to stop loading)

Worth a look if you have a FAST connection. It has been disabled here as I have been shafted by Telstra and am currently on dial-up speed.

Massive Changes abound

, , , ...

Yet again I have changed the overall look of MS WEB. This time it is 'simpler' in terms of layout and a 'cooler', more temperate colour scheme.

I have based the new look on a site I stumbled across and then added all the bits that I usually do, and still have plans for more back room changes..

So far, Internet Exploder is JS error free, so it looks like I have the correct HTML code in terms of DTD, etc. >> I hope! LOL

The front page is probably more suited to low bandwidth users with dial-up or other slow connections as there are less intense graphics...

There are links to other pages which are best with higher speed connections: Some pages include random banner graphics which are quite large and may load too slowly for some users.

Current Activity

::

I have completely changed my home page and made it much cleaner and simpler. It now takes the form of a Site Map and a partial history of MS WEB....

Most current activity is at the home page getting it into order.
