Symphonic Django is the first ever edition of the legendary Django Reinhardts music orchestrated for symphony orchestra.
The idea originated from Jon Larsen and was developed in cooperation with the festival Christianssand String Swing. The arrangements are by Per Ekdahl and were first performed live by Kristiansand Symphony Orchestra.

The song is a popular song from the 20s. It's about Fritz Haarmann, who was a serial killer, who on 19 December 1924 was sentenced to death. He had sexually abused 24 boys between the ages of 1o to 22 years, then he killed and processed them into meat and meat products. His products were very liked by his customers.
