Misty Mountains and Changing Clouds

All these photographs were taken from about the same place in the middle of the orchard garden of the Bavarian Orchard Motel and all within 3 minutes of each other.

The first photograph is to the west, over the Skimmerhorn mountains







Then south.








































And lastly to the west.

The wind was moving towards the east. As you might guess, I beat a hasty retreat inside shortly after the last of these shots.

Wow, your trip is of epic proportions - by car, yet! Great shots. I don't think I'll comment on every post, though.

I wish I had caught you in St. Louis. I stayed in a place across from the Basilica with a 23rd floor view of the arch. I thought you'd enjoy taking a few pictures from there. I did, but I don't have your equipment.

No need to comment on all posts at all, Matt! It is a shame I missed you; the timing was just a bit off. Still, I did get to meet Carol (Dacotah) and I'm planning to catch up with Edward in Spokane a little later on.

These cloud layers look much different in the mountains than in the flats, I think.
