Essentially the Only One

by Richard

Two from today - one intentional, one an accident.

, , , , ,

A corn plant standing proud - and alone - in a large field of soybean plants. This was intentional.Sunset taken, once again, near Fort de Chartres. I had kept my camera in the car with the air conditioning on. It had got quite cold as a result, and, when it met the warm dew of the evening, a condensate fog covered the lens. This was the result.

That's a really cool fog effect on the lens, Richard. Glad you saved it.

I feel like that corn plant sometimes. A lot lately.

:D

Thank you, Star - it was a pretty effect. Not the only one I got though; this was with the fogged lens and a polarizing filter.

I hope you feel more proud than lonely, Star, if you are that maize plant!:smile::smile:

More lonely. I very rarely feel proud.

Except concerning my grandkids.

That's a great shot, Richard. Foggy lenses make for interesting photos.

Maybe you should fog more often. These are great. I have felt like that before---the only corn plant in a crowd of different plants!

Well, if you are both like that corn plant, you have much to be proud of indeed! Sometimes the path truest to yourself is the loneliest one - as least for a while.

That's what I've found to be most true.

Not always pleasant, but there are worse things than being alone.

I have to agree with that, Star. I have found that out through unpleasant experience.

Stardancer 9. September 2009, 01:05

Me, too, Linda.

I love corn in all its forms.

Richard 11. September 2009, 00:23

All its forms?? :D

Edward Piercy 11. September 2009, 00:44

As far as I know, yes.

Moonshine is a form of corn.

Well, that should fit right in with his statement, then. Moonshine probably makes good Bloody Mary's.
