The Mississippi is in flood, unusual for November. I took the train downtown after work to catch these images.

All our rivers down here are past their flood stages, too. But these sunny days are nice. The farmers are relieved. They can begin harvesting soon.
Nice photos, Richard, as usual.

BTW is there some sort of park at the bottom of that arch? Seems like there would be, but you never can tell.

That's one nice thing about my native city of Indianapolis. There's a solid line of parks and monuments a block wide running up from the center of the downtown area (the Monument Circle) all the way up to the library about 6 blocks north. Pretty much anybody who wants to can take lunch there. Strangely enough, not many do. There's one of the block parks that has a fountain and to each side of the fountain there are two statues. One of them is of Pan. I forget what the other is but it is some sort of nymph.
That was the period where I would take my Walkman there and sit in front of Pan and listen to Scarlatti K. 426. It fit somehow.
