Death Note (デスノート Desu Nōto?) is a Japanese manga.One of my favorites.

The main character is Light Yagami, a high school student who discovers a supernatural notebook, the "Death Note", dropped on Earth by a shinigami (a god of death) named Ryuk. Light is starting killing criminals, wanting to make a world better place, known to public as "Kira".

The Death Note grants its user the ability to kill anyone whose name and face they know, by writing the name in the notebook while picturing their face.

The series centers around Light's attempt to create and rule a world "cleansed of evil" as "God" using the notebook, and the efforts of a detective known as L to stop him.
L is very clever, genius young man, very hard to fool, but not enough. He dies by hand of shinigami named Ram, who was fooled by Light.

Anyway, though L died, he is my favorite character from Death Note. Genius addicted to sugar.

I love Death note, I read the Mangas, I watched the series and I saw the movie. I agree L was my favorite too.

because of that L I started playing tennis alot and study alot but I just can't be like him

well my advice to you is don't ever play tennis because I hit my nose about 5 times at the practice but its too fun
sweets are my wife
I love it
I can't get rid of it
it's have damged all my teeth

haha its too fun believe me I started practice 3 times at day in basketball volleyball and tennise intel i brought my poor nose ^^

Hi, i like the Death Note movies, but have never watched the Anime or read the Mangas. I agree, L. Lawliet is my favourite character, one of the smartest detectives. I think the story in the movies is slightly different as L's death is his own decision and his final way of overcoming Light. If you haven't seen the movies then they are worth a watch. Also, so is 'L - Change The World', his own spin-off movie.
