It is very possible and easy at the same time to reverse rural to urban migration and come up with urban to rural migration. Many may disagree when I say so because for centuries populations have been migrating to urban centres causing a big strain to the infrastructure and social amenities. This has resulted in high costs of living, crime rates, congestion, shortage of basic services, polution, garbage menace and corruption.

For many years now youths have been migrating from thier rural homes to towns - urban centres in search for employment as there are no employment opportunities in the villages other than the occasional manual jobs. This doesn't go well with the learned youths opting to migrate to urban centres for any available opportunities, most of them landing to casual jobs in the industries and estates. These jobs aren't reliable so most of the times they're jobless.
For the majority who don't have a relative or a friend to put up with end up in the slums (informal settlements) as the pay is little and that's all they can afford.
Very few are lucky to get jobs relevant to thier academic qualifications or even rise up in the ranks with time to move up the social ladder and afford a decent life and housing.
Majority of these urban immaigrants end up in these settlements all thier lifes, get married and bring forth more families to the slums and for this reason slums are in the increase as does the unemployment.Crime
