Elimination of the Gas Tax and the use of mirrors by Presidential Candidates

While Bush has removed all semblance of spending control and at the same time reducing federal revenues, we have seen a budget surplus in 2000 (and a strong dollar) transformed into an all time high deficit as far 'as the eye can see'.
No matter what Greenspan or Bernaki contend, the 'sugar cookies' of tax cuts bring on a economic donut for the long term. The zero looking donut gives our economy a debt load and we have seen our infrastructure crumble, and the once prideful dollar reduced in its value. Our poor kids!
Been to Europe lately? How about Singapore? or Bangalore? They are booming. Thanks George Bush, and Bill Clinton! Lets continue the polices of spending and lying to the American peopele about the continued lowering of the standard of living for the American people. Globalization why not!
I reserve Judgement on Obama, he is talking a good game about the gas tax nonsense. Let's hope he can get the nomination and defeat McCain in November.
Who'd a thunk we'd all be wishing for a Goldwater or Nixon to run for office here in 2008? We need campagign finance reform or somehow get these jokers out!
Miles

I am sure the Clinton(s) are able to provide a few pounds of material for your cartoons!
