Cambridge

I normally work out of an office in Oslo, but for this weekend I am visiting Cambridge, together with the reast of the Core Techonology department, where we are having a seminar. Since our team is split over the Oslo and Linköping offices, we do not meet face-to-face that often, so this is a perfect opportunity to get to know our colleagues, old and new. There are a lot of interesting talks being held by members of the group, presenting work we are doing and are going to do. Nothing I can name here, of course.
I have not been able to see much of Cambridge yet, though, but there will be time for that later on, I hope. Cambridge looks like a nice little city. Unfortunately I did forget to bring my digital camera, so I will not be able to take any pictures. Fortunately, since this is a company employing a lot of computer geeks, that means that there is more than one digital camera here. Hopefully that means I will be able to get hold of some photographs later on.

I am part of the Core Technology department within Opera, the department that never releases anything that the user see.
What the users look most at in a web browser is the web sites which wouldn't work without you guys ;-)

If you sit down under one of the trees there you can watch the whole town come across you if you stay long enough. I enjoyed all the students around spreading happiness to everyone who was not in a hurry. Such a lively place. Well, at least in summer.
