Motel or Hotel モーテルとホテルってどっちが好き？

Usually we dont really make many plan for trip.
so,
nomally, we just get there,
driving to next town,
and before sunset, we started looking for motel
my dad is picky,
so he doesnt go for MOTEL6, 8, or Bestwestern ( he doesnt like the dark blue carpet and the kinda dark room
) hmm just because most of La Quinta has stairs outside the building so he doesnt really like to choose that one either..
and, he choose kinda new building.
or,
Spring hill suites, Hampton, Quality inn & suites, etc
anyway, this time,
somehow we booked all the accomodation befre we leave home
( viva Internet!)
and, not only motels but also we stayed at Hotel too.
at Hilton
our room was on 8th or something floor,
and only the person has the 8th floor's key could access to the floor
and we had a lounge there where we can eat and drink anything for free.
well, i didnt drink anything but just coke and water though.
no beer.
if i was not with my family, oh well, must have been a dangerous travel!
anyway,
i think, i prefer staying at motel.
if the hotel was gorgeous like in Vegas,or if i was in Hawaii, beach resort
then i would like to go for hotel
but for this sort of road trip,
motel is easy to find and most importantly it's confy for me
so,

...our hotel was badder than that.

That thing they call beer in USA is so light! And they have light beer on top of that!!! LOL

but we usually stay at Marriot or Hyatt or Hilton Group's bit better motel, so it's not bad even compared with hotels
( actually motel is better than some cheap hotel in Hawaii, beds are bigger, rooms are bigger!)
Coors "light", Bud "light"..etc etc huh?
yeah, aint like German beer and i drink them like i drink coke!
