Europe, more civil disorder?
Wednesday, December 14, 2011 10:22:53 AM
Nigel Farage has several times proven to be correct in his opinion during the last 5 years. I have hardly anything to add. The situation on the streets of most European countries is grim indeed, except perhaps in the 'lucky' few with populations brain-washed enough to have a majority still believing to live in a 'well-fare' state. They are lied to and they'll sooner or later find out upon visiting their banks. What then happens is to my opinion quite correctly predicted by Mr. Farage: civil disorder (to remove an incompetent, morally corrupted establishment and its institutions, and the Euro).
A bad start I see for 2012...

Europe (and USA) at the Tipping Point?
Wednesday, October 19, 2011 7:26:05 PM
Current politics have something in common with the weather. Both are unpredictable and completely chaotic. Even a 10-days forecast may fail while too many complexities are at play. See Europe struggling with its horrendous debts, using 'austerity measures' to -as a result- get economic growth going and bring down the debts or vice versa, hopefully in the next 5 to 8 years... The new idea to create a sort of insurance to 'finance' national debts by leveraging a 'fund' that by itself is nowhere capable of producing the assumed results, shows the incredible proportion of this crisis, exposing the failure of 'the politico-economic system' behind it at the same time. One gambles with non-existent money or alternatively with our own last pennies and cents. We'd better stay ignorant of what 'the elite' does to only save their skins. It's not only 'the banks', let us be aware of that! It's politics in all its aspects and mixtures. What goes on in Greece this hour says it all: it is about a corrupted, old and rusted 'system' of lying and pretending. Nations are organized and run like churches in medieval times, 'professional' politicians behaving like the good-old, bigot clergy, the first 'democratically chosen' for their 'competence'. We now know better. Though sometime soon patience of the well-informed public will reach its tipping point and come to an end. In either case no better world in sight!? Just like the weather forecast for this Winter. It may freeze or it could be warm and wet. Who knows what comes true? Chaos and irrational thinking rules this world. Civilization is collapsing..!
Meltdown - how we got in and how we might get out
Wednesday, October 5, 2011 7:22:27 PM
Too much time has gone lost to solve a financial crisis that started long before 2008. Too much time has been lost for groups in our society that wish to improve their lives a different way, but still need to organize themselves. Too much time has been lost by utterly incompetent political management from an elite that fails leadership, charisma and confidence from the people. An elite that clings to old paradigms and outdated assumptions about a society that no longer exists. This 'class' refuses to recognize that, giving priority to 'helping the banks' instead of improving living standards for their citizens, only creates more instabilities. Imposing unimaginative 'austerity' only aggravates the crisis, deepening the lack of confidence in democracy and politics. Whatever the protests nothing seems to change! Is this lack of change demonstrating the incompetence? Should new political parties or a revolution become necessary to replace this outdated, softly corrupt system? Where do we stand right now and what perspective do we have - all of us, then this crisis is almost everywhere popping up.Popular uprisings in the USA differ from those in Europe. Uprisings in North-African and Arabic countries have a different nature and origin from the former two, but these (hopefully) new democracies will feel the pinch soon enough of the restructuring of their societies in times of a malicious global crisis. To review the crisis as a Zeitgeist-phenomenon and putting things in perspective I've selected 3 recent videos that will show my point. Changing this world isn't so simple as things may seem. Particularly not while common people, like you or me, must pay the price for the meltdown of outdated socio-political structures in a world as we knew it. A world that can't, but above all won't return! Let the images speak for themselves...
The Europe Disaster - what others can learn...
Thursday, April 28, 2011 10:39:54 AM
Nigel Farage, independent member of the Euro Parliament and Co-President of the Europe of Freedom and Democracy Group (EFD), is the nail in the coffin of the maoists and communists that (try to) rule Europe. He is the whistle-blower about "hidden features" of the so-called "Euro democracy". The world can learn from what he exposes, I find. I consider this video a historic document on Europe and the stupidity (called 'ignorance') of the people to let this dubious 'cabaret amongst comrades' continue...Europe is becoming (for some: became) a total nightmare; a largely failed experiment.
Why Swiss Minister gets giggles in Parliament
Monday, December 13, 2010 8:49:38 PM
Politics can be funny! Particularly when a well-respected Swiss finance minister, Hans-Rudolf Merz, gets the giggles about a text regarding imported spicy meat. The official jargon in the text led him to an irresistible laughter. So did other members of the Swiss parliament. It was all about Bündnerfleisch, in fact a Swiss delicates, a beef treated with white wine and and seasoning such as salt, onion and assorted herbs. After that the meat is dried several weeks. Aren't there more important tasks for Swiss politicians? Hardly, with an unemployment of about 3.6% and a state deficit below 1% of GDP. So, why not give Bündnerfleisch a treat, ridiculous as it seems/is.

Working Man's Death - why work, and what's work?
Thursday, October 14, 2010 6:26:08 AM
That says a quite well-made documentary from Al Jazeera, dealing with people at work. What work? That interests us in times of growing unemployment. Not the question: why work? Because we have learned to think so. It was Martin Luther who instilled "the Protestant work ethic" in his followers, the idea that work is God's invitation for us to join in his continuing creativity; "to glorify God and to enjoy God forever." Does it? If so, why Jesus Christ didn't work? What job did He have? So the adoration of work comes from something else. For many people life is their work. However a large percentage of workers claim they would continue to work even if they had enough money to live comfortably without working. The concept of satisfaction from doing something comes to mind. Not a well-dressed paycheck, it appears. Is work a means to an end? Or is it meaningful and stimulating? Money, social status and intellectual challenges may be motivating, but so is the 'thank you' from somebody you assisted free of charge to get on his feet. Job satisfaction and the behind much political rhetoric about 'economic growth' hidden, heavily exploited productivity-consumption cycle, appears a major factor; greed, prestige, power. Slavery as work? Should we be 'doing the right thing'? Are we so estranged from Nature that we don't see the relativity of 'work'? Is what you do really important for 'society'? Whose, I wonder? Should we feel 'guilty' when we get unemployed? We face difficult times ahead. Old paradigms are rapidly changing. Can we take care of ourselves when the money-flow stops? For an answer take a look at this...
