Posting in Opera Forums

Opera Forums are all listed by topic and subject. While in these Forums you must be polite and thoughtful of others. The only exception to this is the Lounge....although it is a very casual place, people do tend to get upset if you don't follow the rules of each topic....most topics are very clear but if you are in doubt simple read some of the other post in that topic and you'll catch on. But the most important thing to remember is that what we type is not always read the way we intended..... Opera people are very friendly, and if you ask, they will be more then happy to help.

Yes. I find the Opera Community a real friendly place indeed. Most important of all, is that there are no porn-commercials like on Myspace. Those had me leaving Myspace, although they could be funny enough to read. Blimey.

i'm from myspace, but i wasn't active there. but it's been since december, i wonder when they'll start sending me e-mails

I wonder if they'll kick me out for inactivity?

not really. if you're inactive here, what would happen? vb said probably nothin. but every site i managed to join, and was inactive for a couple of months, they kicked me out.

Hi I'm new to and embarassingly enough this is one of my first posts ever and don't get me started on blogging I'm totally clueless. How do you know when somebody replies to your post? Is it like instant messaging where it will just pop up or is it like email? I know these q's are probably dumb but like I said I'm just starting out thanks in advance

That way you are trying to access richmeyer's page. The url should be my.opera.com/USERNAME...

Input your username there and you're done.

i was very confused about my two different usernames, but i think i've got it now...

still confused about forums vs. community vs. support... also mail vs. news... but i'll muddle through them.

also, is the only way to log out is to close the browser completely? when i click 'log out' nothing happens. it's not very easy to switch from one identity to the other....

p.s. the two personal emails for me on here were $47 million dollar nigerian type scam letters.

you dont need to exit the browser.The logout button should work. If it is not working then try clearing the cache of your browser, that way you'll be automatically logged out and you can login again using your different username.

where do i look for info for using opera on my thumbdrive? this is my first time using opera,so be patient. i want to use it because i can never get our IT guy to keep comps updated and i like to browse the internet when i have free time at the office. is flash player and quicktime part of opera port?
