SUBTITLE: If you want something under your title
An example of this as it shows on my blog :

Access rights? "There are three different levels of privacy: public, friends only, and private" from the Help/FAQ."The privacy settings are available under 'Access rights' in the blog settings" from the Help/FAQ
"Friends Others
Area Access Comment Rate Access Comment Rate" this is what is available under 'access rights', no mention of "public, friends or private". Nor is there any explanation of the Radio buttons on this page - what does marking them mean, what does leaving them unmarked mean?
What I want is completely private except to specific friends I invite. I find I have strange visitors.
And how do I arrange to receive an email notification if there are any answers to this question? Would it be 'subscribe to this topic to receive email notifications'?
Throughout the use of english is gnomic it is so incomplete, and this makes using My Opera daunting.:clown:
Hi! Welcome to Opera!

You can either have your blog private (which means no one but you can read it), or friends only (which means all of your friends can read it).
To change this setting go to "account">"blog"> "settings"> default blog post setting. If I were you, I'd choose friends only.

Thank you H82typ.
I went to
My Account/
clicked on "edit Blog settings"/
which showed my "default post access" as "Private"
Yet I have been visited by "Veezarethe"
When I visit Veezarethe's page it says "banned user"
How was I visited when I was "Private"?
I have changed the setting from Private to "Friends Only". Will that mean I am private until I invite someone?
When my default post access showed "Private" my "Allow comments" showed "Friends only" ~ did that create some kind of application conflict?

They can still visit your blog page - they simply see a blank page if every post is marked as Private. If the blog itself is designated Private, then they can't. Same thing if a post or your blog is Friends Only - non-friends will only see a blank page or get redirected to your About page.

I don't think so, the sidebars aren't really customizable except via CSS.

A couple of things... I wanted to add blogshares on my blog. I use it on another blog I have and I wanted to use it here. Plus, I'm not too crazy about the site statistics and wanted to use another service like sitemeter or something.
Well, you can include HTML in your blog posts subject to certain limitations :
So you can embed an invisible counter in your posts, if you wish, or add a link to 'Make this blog a Technorati fave' and so on. I don't know much about BlogShares.
Some HTML is allowed, however special tags or attributes such as script, applet, onload, onunload, and all other on* attributes, style, form and all forms related tags, frame or frameset, body, meta, html, head, title are not supported.
