    Phú Quốc is the largest island of Vietnam located in the Gulf of Thailand with total area of 574 km². It's roughly triangular in shape of 50 km long North to South and 25 km East to West in the North at its widest.
    Besides the untouched beaches with white sand around the island, it's also famous for 2 traditional products: "fish sauce" and "black pepper"; and the oyster farms established recently have resulted in good quality pearl.

    Something for fun with this technique:
    Step 1: Select a panorama or cropped photo (aspect ratio at least 2:1); (Note: left and right borders should neatly fit into each other and the horizon must be exactly horizontal).
    Step 2: Convert photo into a square image using "Image Size menu";
    Step3: Rotate image by 180 degrees;
    Step 4: Apply "Polar Coordinates" in filter/distort menu (choose the "Rectangular to Polar");
    Step 5: Rotate and clean up for better look.
    HAVE FUN THEN!

    Damnoen Saduak floating market - BKK

    About 2 hr driving from BKK, Damnoen Saduak floating market is totally chaotic and touristic but still worth a visit. The system of small canals are filled with flat boats piled high with fresh fruits or food, each jockeying for position and paddled by ladies ready to stop and bargain at a moment’s notice. It's colourful, noisy, touristy but great fun.

    Boat trip From Mandalay to Bagan

    This is the highlight of my trip to Burma. Not easy to have the right information of the boat but it's worth my effort. There was no other choice at the time of Sep 2008 rather than taking a "slow boat" along the Ayeyarwady River but it turned out right decision with so much fun and joy. Started at 5:30am, arriving Bagan after 14hrs. Great adventure!

    Inle Lake, Myanmar

    21 images

    Inle Lake is one of the most spectacular highlights in Myanmar. It's located in the central highlands in Shan state at the elevation of ~900m above sea level. The estimated surface area of this fresh water lake is about 116 km2. There are about 70,000 local people living at more than 200 villages on or around the lake.
    The lake's most unusual feature is its extraordinary "one-legged fishermen", who have developed an original, eccentric method of rowing with one leg, leaving their hands free to drop their tall conical nets over passing fish, which they can spot in the shallow lake.

In 1980s, Tho Ha villagers turned to produce dry rice papers for making spring rolls, dried rice noodles and raising animals then pottery was gradually abandoned. The village itself and local people offer a typical country life of Northern Vietnam.
