...... surf, life and general faff!

Afan blast ....

Bloody hell. it's been ages since I've had a proper blast on the bike. So long in fact that I still had my race number on the Rough Ride that was back in the summer :wait:

It was a great day with Steve, Barney and Ickle. We had to wait around quite a bit as one of the group (no names but his nickname would imply that he was a small person) so the uphill sections weren't done in any rush. The weather held but fecking-hell, my toes were so cold they'd gone numb by the end of the day. The combination of ice (also what looked like snow) and water really doesn't make for the most foot friendly conditions awww

It was cracking to catch up with the guys and share a few beers, followed by a few hills. But big hugs go out to Steve though who found out his dad died while we were heading back ...... sad times :frown:

Bandit the Bluetit - Visit on 20-11-09

Still not 100% sure that I have got Windows7 and the camera software sorted but here is a test upload on Bandit (as Lisa has called him because of his dark eye band). Hope to get the lines sorted out eventually. It's in B&W as it's dark and the camera is in night mode.

Lisa gets her Chritmas present a wee bit early .....

,

Gave Lisa her Christmas present a tad early this weekend. A bird box with a camera in it. Ok, I'm having a few technical problems at the moment but we do have video to watch via the TV. Something is causing interference and so the quality isn't upto scratch  Why'd she get it early ..... we hear our bluetits in the morning (even though it's not nesting season) and Lisa has wondered what they're getting up to in there. Anyway, it seems that we do have a visitor (Lisa has called him 'Bandit' due to a heavy band around his eyes). The camera went up yesterday and already we've seen a visitor - Lisa is stoked

Halloween ..... a quiet(ish)one.

Headed over to Wendy and Moogies for a spot of fireworks, pumpkin carving, drinking and Wii-ing :drunk: It was a 'quiet' night but by 1am, the Wii was starting to take it's toll. It seems (even drunk) I can play tennis and I'm ok at baseball. Anything else I'm a tad rubish at!

Gaz spoilt us with grub. Homemade pizza (including bases) and then in the morning he treated us to his very own McGaz Sausage and Egg muffins :chef: The man is a genius!

A Woolly Weekender .....

,

OK, so there wasn't any real surf to talk of as the wind was far too bloody strong but it was great to get down at last. A few beers upon arrival on the Friday night and then we had a few more on the Saturday  OK, it was too windy for the likes of me to get wet (Ste was involved in a comp and I might throw some pics up later) but the messed up swell would have been impossible for me to paddle out though.

Walks along the beach with the pup were the activity of the weekend and even then the wind was strong enough to push you over if you weren't paying enough attention :D

The VW crew were out in force and in the main carpark there was a line-up of about 20 classics .... a mix of splits, classics and rats

Just got to work out when I can next get down and if we can get to the Xmas Party weekend :drunk:

A spot of beach time .....

It's been an age since I was last at the beach. Time and the sad side of life has been getting in the way this year

Anyway, so long as I don't catch the bug that's going around college, then I sould be good-to-go on Friday for a couple of days of beach and surf fun.

Checked the conditions yesterday and it's actually looking good for a spot of wet action

It's the End of Summer Ball up on the hill but I think I'll give it a miss in favour of a more laid-back weekend. Don't want another hang-over that lasts for half a week. Felt like death for several days after the night out with Marcus the other weekend :yuck:

Looking forard to the end of the day ....... then it's a week and a day off for me - Yay!

Listening to Ellie Williams. Not my usual music taste but man-alive it's so mellow :coffee:

Where has the time one?

Bloody hell boy, what has happened to 2009? Another couple of months and it'll all be over ......... 2010 sounds very futuristic and it's just around the corner :yikes:

In other very dull news -

Don't think I properly recovered from my drinking adventure with Marcus the other weekend. Popped out to try a few differnt bars the other Saturday and a few pnts later, we started on the shots and then we finished the night in Marcus's kitchen 'tasting' a variety of whiskeys  I staggered home some time around 2am and didn't see the topside of my bed covers until later the following afternoon. I spent the rest of my waking time in pain (Self induced I know) :yuck:

Jason and Jojo are over this weekend. Drink will be on the cards but I'm hoping that it'll not be of the same level and quanitity of the Marcus weekend (it was a good crack though - cheers  Marcus).

Bring on the cheer :drunk:

All quiet ......

I'm still here but to be honest, there's just not a lot going on :frown:

Work is bloody busy and the weather is starting to turn to winter (wow, the wind is strong and for the first time, I would actually say that it's cold out there :psmurf: ).

Times are still very sad and I'm really starting to miss dad. The fact that life just carries on is one of the hardest things to get use to :wait: It was mums birthday today but I can't say that it's a happy day for her, The first birthday she will be celebrating on her own for 40yrs.

Hey ho .... life goes on. Think I'll go out for a beer or two after the gym

Take care y'all.
