Cool ..... I was actually woke up last night by the earth quake that happened at about 12.50am. At its centre it measured 5.2 -
BBC New LinkCan't say the world rocked for me
but I did feel the bed shake and the wardrobe made a quality rumbling noise
It was pretty cool for my first earthquake!

Faff
Man, it's only 3-weeks until the Maidenhead Easter Ten Mile Run and my running has been minimal to say the least! Had last week off work and apart from the Monday, I was too busy doing otehr stuff to even get into the gym, never mind do any running. Back at work now and I'm going to have to get my arse in gear and get some miles under my belt. I'll be able to do the 10-miles ok but I would like to get it done in a decent time

Faff, Holiday
Yay, one more day and then it's a week off for me (apart from a bucket load of marking I need to do and having to paint the ceiling etc at home). The week will start well, as we're off to meet friends in Ross-on-Wye for a bit of fresh air and beer drinking ....... Mmmmmm, beer
This week has been a real struggle. Some personal stuff and the fact that work has been far too manic for my liking - exam marking audit
Also, I some how have managed to upset one of the guys in my surf club (the guy who runs the store/website) that we use for the club messageboard etc by adding a page/link to the site and club on facebook ....... not 100% sure what rocked the boat but he wasn't happy and I got promptly told off:cry:
Anyway, I'm now just looking forward to the day ending and going home for the week!
Oh yeh, some one has to move the Cadbury Multi-pack of chocolates away from me. They were for my class, but there was just under half a pack left (after passing some out this morning) and now I'm munching through them!

Faff, Holiday
We charged across the river for a sneaky (slightly posh hotel) weekend away
During the 4hr drive over, we did get a tad excited when the snow started to come down but come the morning the sun was out and there wasn't a sign of the previous nights downfall. In fact, the weather for the 2-days was pretty good ...... sunshine (for some of the time) but it was bloody cold - especially on top of the castle
Harlech castle was brillaint but Portmeirion was a little forced and unreal ..... although a fun afternoon

Faff, Work, Holiday
Considering I don't go out during the week (hate having to go into work with a hand-over or lack of sleep), I've been out twice this week already. Monday night was to another gig and as Lisa was driving I was able to grab a pint or two
...... Palladium were brilliant and in a very cheesy way, Alpha Beat were cracking
Today was a really crappy day at school
(damn parents) but I'm focusing on heading to Wales and Portmeirion on Friday for the weekend ...... trying to ignore the fact the weather is turning a bit nasty, driving over will take 4hrs+ and the is the chance that the snow could close in
I'll have to ensure I put some warm kit in the car just incase we get stuck enroute
Still, even with poor weather, there is always the bar to stay warm in

.... weekends are alway far too short
Elliot Minor was a cracking night out. Wasn't too sure what to expect from the band but the only wierd bit being the number of screaming girls - man they are noisey (in a bad way). The crowd was a mix of teenage girls (some with their dads) and hard core crowd-surfers! As I said, it was a right mix! The gig finished pretty early and so we headed to a bar (or two) in town for a few beers and a brilliant cocktail called Cape Cod Coolers..... to be honest I probably had too many of these
Today is a day of faff ..... the bluetits on the balcony were up and about early but I stayed in bed until 10am. Now have some boring bits and pieces to do, a bit of homework (makes me sound like a school kid) and then I can go to the gym before mellowing out for the evening.

Dashed back from work, eaten and now I just need to have a shower, take Tilly for some fresh air (Tilly is our dog) and then jump on a bus to Oxford .... the bus is being used so I can happily consume a variety of alcoholic drinks and wobble back home (via another bus). Hopefully it should be a good night out

I've got a few gigs lined up to keep myself entertained (and to stop work driving me mad). Tomorrow night is Elliot Minor ...... being a Friday, there's no work the following mornign and so I can happily consume a large quantity of alcohol with out fear of having to work with a hang-over! Although, saying that, I think the likelyhood of me going to the gym on Saturday morning is limted
Not a lot else going on ..... RPM was hard work yesterday but it felt good. I haven't really started my training for the
Great West Run yet as I'm trying to build-up my core fitness before I start running again

I'm confused (annoyed) as hell about my laptop and its HPwebcam. It stopped working the other day and with some (almost useful) assistance from HP Support I've spent the best part of two days trying to get it working. Eventually I got onto the phone to their support centre and was about to report a hardware failure and the damn things bursts into life ..... what a waste of my time! I could have gone to the gym last night but instead spent the entire evening faffing around with drivers and roll-backs ... Grrrrrrrr
