It's probably me but it is really starting to feel as though some one out there is looking for a power-shift of some sort here in the UK. OK, the global economic turn-down has made things pretty crappy for some people (not all) but if you look at the evidence coming through, things haven't been a fraction as bad as during the last recession. In fact it would seem to be very short-lived and less painful to the vast majority of the population. As
this article states, it is actually looking as though the huge finacial injections that this government (Labour) has used as a tool to get the country though this difficult stage is actually working. Add in the fact that mortgage lending is actually up 29% on February stats, things are really starting to look promising (but you'll not hear anyone brave or foolish enough to use the phrase 'Green Shoots').
But Shhhhhh, don't let the voter/consumer know as they might start to feel a little positive about things and get us out of this slow-down even faster

Is it me or does David Cameron always talk in the 3rd party as though he has nothing to do with the actual internal workings of politics, MP's or even his own party
He's just a puppet for some more power-motivated and studious backroom political masters
"...... the publics fury at Politicians today" - he seems to be unaware (or not willing to put himself into that group in fear of creating a clear division between him and the voter) that he is actually one of the leading politicians of today!
I just fear the Daily Mirror/Sun reading public don't see this!

Summer in Devon and Cornwall sees the arrival in large numbers of the NIMOVBY*.
Despite its Russian-sounding name, the NIMOVBY is from deepest England. It leaves its usual habitat in July and August, as if compelled to be by the sea. Upon arrival it immediately searches for indigenous marine life such as seals, dolphins, basking sharks and the Great White of St Ives. Once these are spotted, the NIMOVBY feels content and ready to go back home.
The NIMOVBY traverses the realm in a spotless, shiny and air-freshened car, but wishes the salt air wouldn't be quite so corrosive. Moreover, the NIMOVBY objects to local practices such as the possession of children and dogs, both of which are a noisy, messy inconvenience. The NIMOVBY has particular disdain for centuries-old Cornish pastimes such as skateboarding and surfing. These it regards as deviations from the norm, but not in an acceptable, Mosleyan sense. Far from it, for some NIMOVBYs believe that skateboarding is a crime which should be punishable via a minimum term of 15 years' imprisonment, while others say that unless a surfer is called Maximilian Von Spume, 17, muscular and from Hawaii, he shouldn't be in the water.
If you see a NIMOVBY, the best thing to do is smile sweetly. They will be gone again soon
