    1. Press ESC
    2. Press ESC again, just in case
    3. Press ESC just in case, again
    4. :q!<ENTER>
    5. Done

This is the verse you need to know to handle vi and its clones:

"Escape this colon thing, quit and do not enter again", i.e <ESC>q!<enter>
