Honey Honey

"Honey Honey" Is a band, and a song. Several songs, really. At least. Maybe a dozen? I should look. At anyrate, it was the band (and the song below) that started me on this post. Enjoy.

Honeyhoney is a duet from Venice California. Well, they live in Venice. Suzanne Santo is from Ohio, and Ben Jaffe is from New York. They make clever, interesting music that is all over the board in terms of influences. I heard this on the television tonight, and had to find it. So I did.

Honeyhoney - "Little Toy Gun"

They want you to go to their MySpace site (which you are welcome to do), but homey don't play dat. They've disallowed youtube embedding, so you'll have to go there to see it - click the link.

Abba - "Honey Honey"

Oddly enough, they've disallowed embedding, too. Go figure. It's been govered a brazilian times, and as much as I like covers, I still won't post one tonight.

Leslie Fiest, on the other hand, wants you to see her video:

Feist - "Honey Honey"

Finally, it's not really honey, honey, but it is "Sugar Sugar," and it's a very funny video:

The Archies - "Sugar, Sugar"

Here are the above "Honey Honeys", along with two extras. Charlie Grace and the Wildcats are great, Kelly Chen is not my cuppa tea. Am I wrong?

And just because all the honey and sugar has left a taste in my mouth:

The Smiths - "Bigmouth Strikes Again"

"Dancing Queen" reminds me of "Muriel's Wedding"...I love that movie. :o:

Karen 7. December 2008, 11:12

TOPH!!! :yes::headbang::hat: I pwn, too!!!

Tab 7. December 2008, 13:27

p: Karen you forget I'm a dyslexic freak. lol

What looks like Qlue to you, looks like Glue to me.

LOL I stand corrected.

Thanks

Karen 7. December 2008, 13:48

Homer: Doh!

Didn't mean to make ya' feel badly or anything...it was just kinda funny because I made the same exact mistake when I first met Aadil! Hahaha!!! Someone told me, "Uh, it's not glue!" I felt like you do now!

I'm glad I could pass on the feeling of Homer: Doh!!!!

Tab 7. December 2008, 13:55

 You don't make me feel bad.

Karen 7. December 2008, 13:58

:hat:

Tab 7. December 2008, 14:00

 I don't allow anyone the power over me to make me feel bad. You can't make me feel bad about myself.

Karen 7. December 2008, 14:07

As if I'd try. GOSH!

That's wonderful, though. Perhaps I'll get to that point one day!

Tab 7. December 2008, 14:09

 I know you wouldn't try too lol. Feelings can be hurt easily on line, as misunderstandings are more likely.

You are like me, in that you constantly worry about displeasing others.
I try to live by the rule..you can't please everyone..but it's a hard rule to follow.

Karen 7. December 2008, 14:10

I can't please everyone, but I refuse to give up trying!

Matthew 7. December 2008, 15:05

It's about time someone started trying to please me.

*ahem*

Tab 7. December 2008, 15:12

 Matthew there are so many ways that can be misunderstood! haha

Karen 7. December 2008, 16:32

SNAP!

Matthew 7. December 2008, 16:56

Hehe. Then I've been sufficiently unclear!

I meant it in the least obscene way possible. Honest.

daxonmacs 7. December 2008, 16:58

I now you did, honey.

Karen 7. December 2008, 19:14

:eyes:

Tab 7. December 2008, 20:36

Uh huh..sure Matthew, we believe you! NOT!

Matthew 8. December 2008, 01:35

Really, Tab? I was using my most believable voice, too!

Tab 8. December 2008, 13:38

 Always discredit he who uses his most believable voice!

Matthew 8. December 2008, 15:39

Note to self: don't sound so danged believable!

Karen 8. December 2008, 15:52

I have duct tape. I will help you with the way you sound.

Matthew 8. December 2008, 16:11

Let me shave first, eh?

Karen 8. December 2008, 16:36

Oh, okay. GOSH!

Matthew 9. December 2008, 02:22

Pain makes you happy. It just makes me grumpy. p:

Karen 9. December 2008, 15:49

Just what we need...something to make you grumpy.

Matthew 9. December 2008, 16:49

Sod off, would ya? p:

Karen 9. December 2008, 19:00

 Doubtful.

Matthew 9. December 2008, 19:48

I kinda figured. :D

Karen 12. December 2008, 00:36

You were bluffin', anyway. p:

Matthew 12. December 2008, 02:14

I never bluff - but I do kid around form time to time.

Karen 12. December 2008, 05:35

Okay then. I stand corrected. Now can I sit? My dogs are barkin'.

Matthew 12. December 2008, 12:45

Take a load off!

Karen 12. December 2008, 15:56

Sweet...thanks!

Now will you please get me a lemon Master Cleanse beverage? I'm parched! :D

Matthew 12. December 2008, 16:32

Your wish is my command. Extra cayenne?

Karen 12. December 2008, 17:10

Yes, please! Double it! Mmmmmm...I love that stuff.

Matthew 13. December 2008, 02:43

I fell into a burning ring of fire...

Karen 14. December 2008, 22:57

 I'm all done now!!! 9.5 lbs. later! w00t!:hat:

The magma was so worth it!

Matthew 15. December 2008, 01:38

:bighug:

Congratulations! w00t! :hat:

Karen 15. December 2008, 01:58

:back at'cha:

Thank you! :o:

Babs 15. December 2008, 23:44

Karen, is this the first time you've done the Master Cleanse? Did you use real lemons, or bottled lemon juice? I've got a goal to reach!

Karen 15. December 2008, 23:45

Yes, it was the first time. You gotta use real lemons - organic.

Babs 16. December 2008, 00:03

I started with 3 days of salads, and then went to a juice fast this past Thursday. The date I had Sat. night knocked that right out of left field! :frown: No more nights out for me, unless there is a HUGE salad bar with lots of fruit involved! I'll have to look for those organic lemons when I go to town on Wednesday.

Karen 16. December 2008, 07:44

Good luck finding them. I never have any problems at all finding them. Every single grocery store around me carries them.

Babs 16. December 2008, 08:35

Not here - It's all shipped in. :yuck: I need to find some citrus trees that will grow in this area!

Karen 16. December 2008, 08:38

That's too bad.

Babs 16. December 2008, 08:42

And with that - I'm heading off to bed. I need to stop all these late nights before I forget what it's like to wake up at 6 in the morning, and I haven't done that in a while!

Karen 16. December 2008, 08:45

G'nighty night! Sounds like a terrific idea to me. I could stand to sleep, myself.

Aadil 16. December 2008, 18:08

Ya know Karen, If Mathew really wants that clean shaven look, let him grow his beard and mustache for two weeks, then substitute leg wax for duct tape. I hear that it negates the need for shaving for up to two months!.

Karen 16. December 2008, 18:09

 I like that idea so much, I'm willing to buy the duct tape and ship it to him!

Karen 16. December 2008, 18:12

:sst: They make pink duct tape. That's the kind I'll buy him.
