What has Noah been up to, while he's been spending less time on MyOPera? Well, today, I've been listening to Theresa Andersson.

Althought she's Swedish, Andersson came to the US - New Orleans - to play violin with a fellow swede. She's played with a ton of famous New Orleans heavy hitters like the Neville Brothers, Allen Toussaint, and The Meters.

It turns out she can sing, too.

And play a bunch of other instruments. She's been touring by herself, but she bring an orchestra. She plays all the instruments, and accompanies herself though the use of loop pedals which record and playback while she performs, adding layers of complexity to her music. Cool, eh? See what you think:
There is some great Swedish pop out there, right now!

That's awesome! Thanks for sharing that. :D I especially love that last song. The harmony they had was just gorgeous!

My pleasure. It's always nice to share something that makes me happy.

I love seeing what you come up with. :D You post some great stuff.

noah counte 8. February 2009, 01:39

I'm glad you think so. It's all over the place. Something for everyone, but I'm probably the only one who likes it all.

dragon_harrower 8. February 2009, 01:44

 Nothing wrong with that!

noah counte 8. February 2009, 01:51

I think I saw this lady on Conan (watching him while there were commercials on Craig Ferguson) the other night. She sang Birds Fly Away. Theresa was interesting to watch because of all the pedals she had. She also played a vinyl record as part of her layers of music. It was a unique performance.

noah counte 8. February 2009, 02:05

She was on a couple of nights ago, though I missed it. I would have stayed up to watch, had I realized she was performing.

Theresa Andersson is gifted with a beautiful,
utterly moving voice,
NPR is generous often by playing her songs

thank you for sharing

noah counte 8. February 2009, 03:02

I'm not surprised that NPR uses her. I'll have to see what they've been using. :D

I really like her voice. Love the third song Innan du Gar.

Homer: Doh! Sorry...something came up...again. I wish that'd stop happening. What's your excuse?

noah counte 9. February 2009, 21:49

My excuse for sitting here 16 hours a day, wondering if you're going to show up or wait until I've gone to bed to log in? I don't have one.

Nerak 9. February 2009, 22:33

:frown: From now on, I will message you IMMEDIATELY when I sit down at my computer! No more of this guessy-wessy! p:

I'll need a link to hear this. :left:.
Sorry I've been absent for so long, I've been busy living in the real world a bit.

dragon_harrower 11. February 2009, 16:47

 Someone has to live in the real world a bit.

noah counte 11. February 2009, 17:16

I avoid the real world, if at all possible.

I'll see if I can dig up some links, but I don't know if I can.

lekrot 17. February 2009, 19:10

Nice music :headbang: Glad that you share nice artists from my country

noah counte 17. February 2009, 19:12

There are a lot of nice artists from your country, Torkel.

lekrot 19. February 2009, 18:13

noah counte 20. February 2009, 02:08

Here's Moonshine playing Lucinda Williams' "Get Right With God". They do a nice version of Williams' "Concrete and Barbed Wire," too. There are a surprising number of Swedish country bands - surprising to me, at least.

lekrot 20. February 2009, 20:43

Surprising to me too  It is a bit strange that our small country brings so much good music... :headbang:

lekrot 20. February 2009, 20:45

Forgot to thank for the link, great

noah counte 21. February 2009, 01:21

I'm glad you enjoyed
