Happy International Sushi Day. You should celebrate.

Cant Touch This:
Why is it that when you need a cop, it takes them 20 minutes to show up? Then, when it's all about dancing pants, they show up in a minute and 18 seconds...
- Bio-jetfuel outperforms petroleum-based jet fuel. On the downside, it turns to mayonnaise when it gets cold.
- Google wants to let you search books, but librarians (and maybe the US Justice Department) are leery of the deal. Google is looking like the new Microsoft - a giant wolf in lamb's clothing.
- We talked about making a wallet out of duct tape a year ago - now you can make a better one. Go on! You'll be the envy of your friends!
- How did your pick do in the World Beard and Moustache Championships?
- Biblio is very cool. It permits you to search independent booksellers the way Amazon's website lets you search, well, Amazon's database. If you want out of print books, Biblio is the way to go.
- Maybe Oedipus had it right?
- Apparently, a seven foot cave needs a fire exit. Now that's harsh.
- Evernote 3.0 is here. It's a great alternative to Microsoft OneNote (possibly the best and most underrated program in Microsoft Office), and now it's also available for your phone.
- If you create a desktop shortcut with "mailto: in the location field, Windows will automatically open a blank email when you click on the new desktop icon. Read more at ghacks (though there isn't much more to it than that).
- If you want to work for the city of Bozeman, MT, you may well have to tell them all the websites you visit, along with your usernames and passwords. That sounds legal, eh? Amazingly, no one has pulled an pplication based on the intrusion.
- Fox News: "Marijuana not only gets you high, it damages your DNA!" The truth? Not quite so cut and dried (and hopefully with no twigs or seeds).
- People are faking their deaths all over the internets. You know, so they won't have to produce knoitting patterns, and such.
- "Thefts from feminine-hygiene dispensers have been spotty in the past." There seems to be a regular flow now of such thefts now, though.
- If you work for Focus On the Family and you're a woman, you may now wear pants to the office. Praise God.
- We had a conversation elsewhere (I forget where, or I'd link to it) about stripper poles you can install at home. I'm touting this one, mostly because of the stellar review which includes this glowing statement: "I can literally grab the pole, shake it as hard as I can" which makes me laugh.
- It's summer, and you know what that means... "fecal accidents."
- If you find it hard to create a playlist that suits your mood, you might try BPM Analyzer. It determines the beats per minute of the music in your collection. Then you can select songs with similar calmness or freneticism to suit your mood.

There's nothing wrong with letting the guy live in a cave. He's not bothering anyone. Sheesh.
I'll definitely have to check out Biblio.

Isn't it strange that four out of every five people that die around here die as a result of hiv related complications. Yet nobody that's dying online claims to be hiv+
Ya know, there's people that come and go online. And there are people that I do miss when they're not around. (yes Karen, I mean you!) but I must confess that I'm not prone to long periods of mourning.
I've lost contact with everyone I knew more than five years back, except a select few family members. I can hardly be expected to mourn more for people who I only know as words on a screen. People come and people go. It's whether or not they left footprints in your heart that matters.

I haven't used Biblio, but Barnes & Noble's used and out of print search gives you independent booksellers also. I've used them and it's pretty cool -- you order the book and it arrives (by a fairly circuitous route) about a week later.
I would gladly surrunder all my Fourth Amendment rights to work in Bozeman -- it's just that type of great place.
1) Illegal drug trafficking
2) Weapons sales
3) Stolen art and archaeological artifacts
4) Used feminine hygiene products.
It's a strange world.
Once again, thanks for all the news thats fit to blog.

I used OneNote at work, and LOVED it. I can use it at home too, but I can't access it from anywhere. That's why I've used EverNote. Lately, I'm thinking Zoho is the way to go. It's almost as rich as OneNote, and it's hosted on their servers, so you can reach it anywhere you have internet access.
