Ska, Part One (Jamaica, late 50s, early 60s).
*phew* It's a biggun! This is the second ska post (of three, with additional posts for ska cover songs), and it's mammoth. There are 17 songs in the players, plus eight or ten videos. There's probably 90 or more minutes' worth of music here! Notice that each player has four songs in it (save the Bodysnatchers, which has only two, and The Selector only one). The songs are listed above the player, and there is a player for each of the bands listed.
This is one of my favorite genres of music, so I put a lot into this post. I hope you enjoy it, but there is so much here, I won't blame you if you don't have time to get through it all. Have fun trying!

This may interfere with my usual Friday Covers schedule, but I don't care. I like ska. I hope you will too, because I've gone crazy! This post is entirely about the ska of Jamaica in the 60s, but I've got another post coming about the second and third waves of ska. On top of that, I've got at least two, probably three or four ska covers posts partially ready. If you don't like this stuff, you're going to hate me soon!
