I do not fear.
I am free.

Imagine the foggiest morning you ever lived to see. Imagine you are waiting at the bus stop and the bus comes out of nowhere, suddenly appearing in front of you, emerging from the white. It is strange, like a ghost. Somehow you never thought it could happen. You couldn't imagine that anything would be able to come through that white, impermeable wall. And it doesn't look like your bus at all, it's more like a whale, appearing out of the deep oceans darkness. Nevertheless you always knew it would come, because you needed it to.Read more...

Descartes said:
But how long am I? Well, so long as I think. Because it could be possible that I, as soon as I stop thinking entirely, will also cease to exist.
I'm having difficulties to think these days. I'm disoriented and confuse many things. I don't know what I'm doing, but I still am, for now.

Philosophy, Thoughts
We are weak. At least some of us are weak sometimes. We just fall down these deep black precipices from time to time and when we do so, we desperately search for a straw to hold on to.
This could be some kind of religion, because believing in a loving, caring God who had to send us on this quest may give us the strength to survive. It could be a philosophy we learn about and which helps us seeing the world in a new, better light, making it easier to understand. Of course friends can be straws, guiding us through the dark labyrinths of life. The internet is a quite favoured straw, too, because it is easy to find people like ourselves there. The arts - writing, painting, making music – are also useful straws, giving us a way to express our feelings and fears.
What straw we use to stop us from falling is our own personal choice. The straws may change throughout our lifetime or with every new reason that runs us down. The older we grow, the more straws we may have used. Our lives become a patchwork of ways out of crises. For others this patchwork may look strange and incomprehensible, but for us it is the blanket that keeps us alive. Our patchwork makes us special. When we look at it we see what we have been through – and how we got through it. When others look at it they may understand who we are and why we are who we are. It is the way we have gone since we started living, so take good care of it.
