It´s never too late to live in the present

After the rain

And there was music in the street

As a prelude to the Jazz festival in Copenhagen wich started yesterday. A lot of musicians started in the streets. I never use money to go to the clubs. I listen to it free and outside :D

Summer night

Summer night at the beach in Elsinore

The new ride

After Curt Hamm got this vehicle, his parking problems were over!

When nothing really happens

Morning shots

On my way to work. Heading for the train station. A very quiet morning, to begin with

Elsinore

Aproaching the big city. A marker of the beginning of another work day. Slept almost all the way in the train

My new ears

I´ve had hearing aids for 10 days now.
All in all it´s a life improvement.

I always thought my bad hearing came to me due to an accident in the army 28 years ago, but the doctors didn´t agree. The bad hearing seems to be syncronically equal on both ears and that points in the direction of genetic failure, they said. That means that I´ve had bad hearing all my life!. That might explain SOME of the difficulties I´ve had in school

I read lips and attitudes very well. I´ve been able to go along for a long time with that…but ADHD tendencies and bad hearing is a bad cocktail. The conscentration made the most common meetings at work, very tiering.

The whole thing came up because I had a sore throat after a rough long time with a flu. The doctor send me to an ear, nose and throat specialist. As a routine he made a hearing test on me. After that he sent me to a hearing ambulatory at the hospital. At the hospital they advised me to get a hearing aid. I said ok to that. I´m glad to live in Denmark everyting was free!!! The tiny hearing aids and all the consultations. I´m very thankful!

In the beginning everybody sounded as if they were talking from the inside a big plastic pipe .
The doctors assured me that they could take away about 50% of the auditive inconveniences by adjusting the small maschines and the brain will after a while ajust the rest of the sounds and make them sound natural.

There are a few sounds left that feel SO strange. The sounds of ratteling paper and ratteling bed clothes. IT`S EXTREMELY PIERCY AND NOISY!!

It has been a relief to wear them at work and wonderful to take them out when I get home. There´s far too much noices in the house where I live. Suddenly I heard noises that I wasn´t interested in hearing. Noises from the water pipes. People talking loud in the other apartments etc etc. SO in the evening I put my ears to rest. It´s like taking a confortable woollen plaid over my head!

But all in all I´m glad that I got my new turbo ears.

Girl with stool

Bought this sculpture about a week ago. It´s not more than the size of a shoe box. I saw it through a window in an old office building attached to the Kronborg Castle. I thought it was a kind of window decoration. I immediately found it very beautiful and interesting. It seemed that some artists from the old shipyard in the harbour area had moved in, in the old office building. I was looking into a studio..an atelier. I went around the building and found an open door with a sign: Welcome, open studios. I went in and met the artist Malene Bjelke.. She had made the sculpture: “Girl with stool”.
I simply had to own it.
Now it is standing on my shelf at home. When I come home I get so happy when I look at it.
