Edward Piercyedwardpiercy Friday, August 29, 2008 11:28:55 PM

Kinda flat coming from a guy in Washington State -- Ha! lol

Easier to walk than those stairs, though.

The horses look kinda old. Which makes me wonder about the story behind that farm.

I'm not that prolific in my computer skills.

Which isn't to say that I couldn't think of a few things. smile

Angelikiellinidata Friday, August 29, 2008 11:53:22 PM

Allanricewood Saturday, August 30, 2008 7:12:07 AM

These photos go perfectly together. Danish countryside.

I have a particularly strong feeling for the sheep-pic', though.

I would name it "The Outsider" if it was mine.

I made something similar - yet entirely different - once:

these photos look so surreal... i especially like the horses - are they ponies? they look a little chunky... smile getting ready for the winter months i presume. bigsmile

Nicolas Borgsmidtnopanic Sunday, August 31, 2008 4:34:01 PM

I felt surreal. I´m happy beyond any logic reason. But I really feel it rubs of on my photos and my painting.
The horses are undoubtedly ponies of some sort. We could ask Adele if she knows what kind it is smile

Adele BrandSittingFox Sunday, August 31, 2008 5:49:51 PM

Hi Nic, I'm really not good on equine breeds! Well, I know a few, but not many. I agree that these were ponies but more specific than that, sorry wink

Nicolas Borgsmidtnopanic Sunday, August 31, 2008 5:59:54 PM

Aww thats sweet of you Adele. Thanks. You know what? I might drive up there again and simply ask the farmer about it idea bigsmile

Adele BrandSittingFox Sunday, August 31, 2008 6:05:25 PM

That sounds like a good move! smile

Nicolas Borgsmidtnopanic Sunday, August 31, 2008 6:06:42 PM

Eliane a/k/a Ellymomable Tuesday, September 2, 2008 3:30:46 AM

Beautiful! I almost thought Shots Two and Three were one shot with a white path between them. lol

Very enjoyable. up

Nicolas Borgsmidtnopanic Tuesday, September 2, 2008 7:21:13 AM

Err yeah they´re a bit close whistle ...but..when they´re that close the pics makes some kind of rythm and interaction. they become related. I like that happy

Eliane a/k/a Ellymomable Tuesday, September 2, 2008 5:26:04 PM

I like it, too. It would even be cool if you put the two shots together and made your own road.

Nicolas Borgsmidtnopanic Tuesday, September 2, 2008 6:55:52 PM

I do that in my paintings sometimes. Combine pictures in the idea phase to a painting smile

Martin K™Aqualion Tuesday, September 2, 2008 11:32:26 PM

The horses are ponies, Fjordheste/Nordbakker in danish. I don't know the english name for them.

Monday and friday I spend many hours with two of the sort, Truska and Punto. Proud and indipendant creatures. They are big and strong horses that really like to eat. If you don't exercise them, they will get fat very fast. A bucketfull of müsli a day will help. Müsli is good for everyone.

I don't ride much anymore due to a knee injury, but I sometimes take Truska for a stroll around the farm. She's not really in to it, and she's a little old for that sort of sillyness too, but she likes my company. It's mutual.

Old horses are generally good company. They don't talk much.

Very good pictures, Nic...

Nicolas Borgsmidtnopanic Wednesday, September 3, 2008 7:52:09 AM

Thanks a million Kjeldsen. Great info. It must be safe riding. I think I could reach the ground with my feet even if sitting on it p

Martin K™Aqualion Wednesday, September 3, 2008 8:26:01 AM

Not at all, Nic. They are big horses. Truska meassures 170 cm from foot to shoulder and weighs about 280 kg. But it's safe riding anyway, because they are bone idle and not easily intimidated by sounds and comotion.

Nicolas Borgsmidtnopanic Wednesday, September 3, 2008 8:28:53 AM

Sounds like a hourse for me. Have to go back and take a closer look at them. Still have over half of my vacation left up happy

Martin K™Aqualion Wednesday, September 3, 2008 8:43:23 AM

If you give a horse like that an apple or a carrot he will be your loyal friend forever after. The special thing about horses is that they never forget and the first impression will last.

Good luck.

Stardancer Wednesday, September 3, 2008 8:28:02 PM

Horses like sugar cubes and beer, too.

lol

Nicolas Borgsmidtnopanic Wednesday, September 3, 2008 8:32:46 PM

I do too left And I don´t mind sharing with a hourse.

Stardancer Wednesday, September 3, 2008 8:33:33 PM

lol

Martin K™Aqualion Wednesday, September 3, 2008 9:05:48 PM

I guess one or two sugarcubes is okay, but sugar is basicly not good for horses. It upsetts their stomacks, and... well... I've cleaned up many stables in my time, and I wouldn't recommend sugar. Beer is always good. For all living creatures. Just remember: what goes in must eventually go out again.

cheers

By the way, Nic: Horses understand the concept of sharing quite well. Most animals do. If you want to be friends with animals it's a good thing to give them food, but making them understand that you are actually sharing your food with them is better. Goes with cats and dogs too. And people as well.
