It´s never too late to live in the present

Reflections in my silent kitchen

Washing dishes and thinking my eyes blind
makes me feel eternity all around
My peaceful mind
wanders without a sound

Thoughts of no importance
take me with you
Standing here while travelling a distance
makes an immediate wish come through

Nice one. Thinking my eyes blind; nice expression. That's probably what I call "staring holes in the air"?

i always suspected that you were an astral voyager.

i messed with the boat picture on the wall. so i could see it better. one of your paintings?

nopanic 19. November 2008, 20:44

Thanks a lot Scott
As a teenager I had a few "out of body" experiences..scared the s*** out of me :eyes:
And I wasn´t even drunk or stoned or anything

The boat pic is painted by one of my fathers friends Mogens Lorentzen. The motive is the canal with boats situated right beside where I work  :D

Nice thoughtful post! I find washing up time to be good thinking time.

nopanic 20. November 2008, 19:46

Thankyou Adele. So do I. Sometime I almost scrub a hole in a plate while thinking!

Standing here while travelling a distance makes an immediate wish come through

Traveling elsewhere while standing still - I've seen many places in my mind while doing just that.

nopanic 21. November 2008, 07:55

Yeah Babs. It´s a fine thing to be able to do, isn´t it?!

PainterWoman 21. November 2008, 12:14

Nic, I love these random shots of ordinary things. I like how the aqua color of the hanging light picks up the colors in the water of the painting.

nopanic 21. November 2008, 13:38

Glad you like it Pam. My life is changing...I´m getting older. Common things inspires me a lot...the beauty and simplicity of ordinary common things. At this stage I´m finally able to obtain and enjoy it. My inside has become at ease and wonderfully silent

PainterWoman 21. November 2008, 13:44

Same here Nic. When visiting my daughter in North Dakota, she kept giving me puzzled looks at the the odd things I took pictures of. Can't wait to get them developed to see them.

I forgot to mention the ripples in the reflection mimic the water in the painting too.

nopanic 21. November 2008, 13:52

I look forward to see your pic from your trip up there. Please give me a hint Pam

It´s the fine thing about showing you guys things..you always see so much more in what´s presented to you
