@ Pamela
It was early in the evening. The darkness is deep at that time, not like a black wall, like it will be around midnight. Very cold it was. Ppl went home from work to indoor activities. The lights came on in the buildings like christmas trees being lit up. The streets became very quiet, while I stood there.
In the morning I thought I had too much clothes on, but standing there in the evening i really appreciated it

@ Scott
Oh yes Mondrian: Coloured squares of all sizes framed by black lines! That pattern really appealed to me  And you´re right about Paul Klee too Scott. Copenhagen was very expressionistic yesterday evening
It was a wonderful walk. It´s not often that the streets are all yours on a friday night

@ Angeliki
Aww yo´re too good to me Angeliki . I´m a great great admirer of Michael Kenna. He has always been such an inspiration to me. His silent worlds.Wow. Some of his photos is the manifested silence.
His stillness I´ve tried to use many times in my paintings

@ Tilla
Thanks Tilla. It was easy...Copenhagen was a beauty, yesterday evening

pssst I saw his work on the 5th of September this year in New York City

magnificent!!!!!! I recall a Hudson River Photo that looked so much like yours!!! I know he would applauded you too!

Nicolas Borgsmidt 22. November 2008, 08:54

Lucky you Angeliki. I hope one day they´ll make an exhibition At the Loisiana Modern Art Museum here in Denmark.
I think artists that work a lot and like the proces of working has an easy way to applaud other artists

Angeliki 22. November 2008, 12:19

I hope you wish comes true!!!
till then we are the fortunate ones to enjoy quality photography and art from you  that's a special treat and I thank you for it

Gustav Klimt. That's the artist I was trying to remember. He is noted for his jewel-like backgrounds in his paintings of people.

Here's one of Klimt's I was thinking of:
