I always wonder what other creatures think,
for sure they communicate ...
this picture clears up some of my wonders p:
Is this an old mill?

Since I read Richard Bach´s "Jonathan Livingston seagull", those birds have really interested me a lot. When I moved to Elsinore I lived in a very tall building and i had the posibility to see seagulls flying skills up close, which was incredibly beautiful. Richard Bachs book made me dream about flying. In several dreams I became a seagull and flew among other seagulls over the shore line looking for food.
The picture is from the big restoring of the harbour of Elsinore.

I am fascinated by eagles.
I was spending many days in my Pennsylvania balcony wathing them go high and then dive...
I saw them mate on the air..
considering I have "ornythophobia" birds fascinate me too...

"Jonathan Livingston seagull" is a favorite of mine,
both my teens have it in their book cases
and of course mom wouldn't have been any different
I am glad to know we have this in common ..

Wow Eagles. Havn´t seen eagles in Elsinore. But inland in Fredensborg and the surrounding woods in Nothern Sealand have eagles. We have the Golden Eagle.

It´s very beautiful. Forrest workers even feed the eagles during hard times at secret feeding places. Over population of certain areas in Sweden made some of them immigrate to Denmark. We´re very happy for that
Like Richard Adams´ "Watership down" and Richard Bach´s "Jonathan Livingston Seagull" It´s about social behaveure and the behaveaure of individualists contra civilizations. Very interesting reading.

But I´ll have to say. I´ve seen fabulous flying skills from birds from all over the world, but in my view the seagull beats them all. They even use their feet to make fine corrections to course while flying at maximum speed.

Very funny! But, as you say, gulls have a special grace in flying, and it would be a shame if they all started using bridges instead!

nopanic 4. April 2009, 09:02

Hehe yeah Adele...but I really like their many faceted personalities. the can be full of grace riding on any little wind or they can behave like rats..noisy and violent

Love the picture and your bird humor.

and dive bomb you to grab what you're eating right out of your hand. I saw this happen a couple of times on the beaches in California.

I´ve tried that once Pam. A seagul stole some schrimbs from me while I was eating on a penthouse terrace :eyes:
