As a prelude to the Jazz festival in Copenhagen wich started yesterday. A lot of musicians started in the streets. I never use money to go to the clubs. I listen to it free and outside

Yeah, so do I Pam. I´m amazed to find new skilled musicians in the streets every year. All kinds of street artists have good oportunities in Copenhagen

This kind of festival is fantastic! There's a place in Memphis, Tennessee, that's like this every Friday and Saturday night. It's called Beale Street. There are jazz bands, blues bands, rock'n'roll bands, hiphop performers. It's great. You can go into the clubs and pay to hear a particular performance if you want, but it's a lot more fun just to walk down the street (or dance down the street

) and listen and watch. I love this place.

When I was in Novi Sad few weeks ago, summer music festivals already started, there was several stages around the center with different kinds of music

There was a dixie band playing on the main square

I would like to see that in Copenhagen and in Memphis, too

I feel that jazz belongs to the streets. Like samba. And rap.

In Copenhagen Seaguls doesn´t sing along. Not even the doves. In Elsinore it would be a whole other matter.

The asmosphere was wonderful

Yes Carol..there are some almost all year round

But in the summer and around cristmas there are a lot of artists in the streets

Maybe you could go to New Orleans. I´ve heard that there´s a lot of music in the streets there
