Cool. Kind of looks steampunkish.

gdare 5. September 2009, 06:27

Like a nice warm place in the cold morning

Spaggyj 5. September 2009, 07:48

Interesting architecture, and I love the shot.

nopanic 5. September 2009, 08:44

@ Elly
Steampunkish, what an exellent word..but what does it mean  :D

@ Darko
Yeah, the light in the dome looks very warm

@ Kimmie
I think so too. It was build as a museum, right from the start. The glass towers are built in order to provide as much daylight as possible inside the buildings!

Spaggyj 5. September 2009, 09:04

That's a good design!

SittingFox 5. September 2009, 09:24

Great contrast between the fiery interior and cold flat sky

nopanic 5. September 2009, 11:30

@ Kimmie
It sure is, and functional too

@ Adele
Yes. That´s exactly what caught my eye

The building is also beautiful inside. I took my cousin's wedding pictures in there.

PainterWoman 5. September 2009, 14:05

Love that orange glow coming from the surrounding darkness of the building. Nice shot.

ricewood 5. September 2009, 17:58

A wonderful building. One of the finest in our country.

momable 6. September 2009, 01:40

Here is a good article about it on Wiki --http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Steampunk

Briefly, it is a style of art, clothing, fiction and speculative fiction, or scifi with elements of fantasy which often include steam-powered devices. People make steampunk photos and machines alot, also sculptures.

Often associated with cyberpunk. "Cyberpunk is a science fiction genre noted for its focus on "high tech and low life".

Beautiful. I'll have to look up the rest of the building.

nopanic 7. September 2009, 00:53

@ Pam
Me too, that´s what made me stop

nopanic 7. September 2009, 00:55
