Bowling

Went Bowling with collegues yesterday.
Our Bowling club: "The blue balls" had one year anniversary:up:

It was great to discover how we all have been improving our skills, in this wonderful game.
A great deal of shouting and delevery of verbal filth is an important part of the game.

The only pain killer when your arm gets sore is a huge amount of beers...and believe me...my arm got very sore. A byeffect of this drug is lack of focusing. At a time it was like.. blind bowling...had to play it by ear.*CRASH* "STRIKE"

After the game a goooood dinner and more beers at Dragør Harbour..MMmmmmhhhh:happy:

And today...NO HANGOVERS

This place is sacred

Choosing the right ball is essential. They vary in wheight and size and size of the holes in the ball. You DONT want your thumb to be stuck in there:eyes:!!

When you´ve had a few...photographing and moving objects is a very bad combination

An important part of bowling is the evaluation meeting right after the game.
It recuires a lot of food and a lot of beers.
Various injuries are shown..the last insulting remarks are getting off your chests...various disputes are solved...more beers and friendships restored. "The Blue Balls" are ready for the next game:yes:

Zen and the art of timing an egg

Moments of Zen

I´ve always liked the form of an egg. I think it´s beautiful and harmonic…a symbol of life.

A year ago, I needed to buy an egg alarm. In my mind, an egg alarm has to be egg shaped and white! I searched and searched but couldn´t find one.
At last I found one in a discount shop where the concept is, that almost everything in it costs 10 danish crowns. I was incredibly happy.
Boiling eggs and using the egg shaped egg alarm was such a joy. The form, the colour and the functionality filled me with pleasure.

After three wonderfull sessions with the white egg alarm, it suddenly stopped working! My eggs got hardboiled during a neverending silence from the kitchen. Normally material things doesn´t move me much..but this insident really got to me..it really hurt. I dissembled the white egg alarm…carefully removed the top and looked at the machinery inside. Nothing seemed to be wrong…no noise of lose objects and the spring seemed to be working fine! I assembled the white egg alarm again and tested it. Turned the top to mesure five minutes…nothing happened. No tic tac…no movement…silence. I didn´t know what to do to begin with..so I just put it back on the shelf again…at least it was still beautifull to look at. After that I found out that I could make the little mashine work by laying it on the side! One could turn the top and carefully place the white egg shaped alarm laying on the side and thereby measure the egg timing..but it really didnt feel right.

After a while I went back to the discountshop to buy a new white egg alarm…but they didn´t have it anymore. I started desperately to go to all kinds of shops, asking for white egg alarms. No shops seemed to have it. I was shocked. A terrible feeling of having to make compromises in the egg time measuring proces really made me feel bad. What could I live without…the egg form?...the colour?.... The solution came in form of an egg shaped polished steel egg alarm…the cool appearence made me call it an egg timer….It was quite expensive..found it in the local mall . It was like upgrading the concept.

It worked fine and has done so ever since..But something peculear happened. The polished steel egg timer had overruled the white egg shaped egg alarm. One day I decided to throw the white egg shaped egg alarm out. Without thinking I turned the top for, what I was quite sure of, the last time and all of a sudden it was ticking!!Standing upright!!. Used quite a long time to test it, over and over again…it kept working and has done it ever since! So…now I have two well functioning Egg shaped egg timer alarms. Boiling eggs now is great fun. Due to what mood of the day pops up I can choose either the timer or the alarm.
I´ve been thinking over and over again..WHY the white egg shaped egg alarm started working again…today I look at it in a philosophical way…Don´t give up though the time seems to stop in you life..be patient it will start again. Searching new solutions might shape up the old ones again!
