Wow.

As I was scrolling down to view the second photograph, it appeared that the building was moving toward me, or I was moving toward the building, pretty quickly.

What a great illusion!

Brilliant photos, Nic.

I like the big spiral staircase! There are so many photographical options with it! Where is it?

Hello Tilla.
It is at the new buildings at "Bryggen", lot of steel and glass there. The bright light gave a lot of oportunities that day

Yes, I could seem movement too! Very well done, intentially or not! I really like the reflection of the clouds in the first one. It kind of brings the outdoors in.

I suspect the architects had similar thoughts Lois

I agree, brilliant! That first one looks like a building full of clouds!

It takes the massiveness out of the building doesn´t it, PW?

Yes, and with that bit of cloud formation at the top that is actually behind the building, makes it appear as if the building is one w/ the clouds and floating. So cool.

Glad I was there at the right time

its things like these that make me realise how much i should have paid more attention in school. dont it make us ALL want to be architects. that was my dream. i love the helix staircase. i remember in my final year in school they taught us how to draw the design for it.was immense fun

@ Tanya
Really?! I would have liked to be that too, but I can still enjoy the lines of beautiful buildings

@ San
Thanks. Sorry about the size of the pics, San. Might try to minimize some of them, in the future.

@ Elly
Thanks

Looking absolutely grrrreat.

I like the way you keep on exploring a defined space. Work like that will inevitavbly produce results - mentally as well as physical.

I glad you like them Allan. Gives me more reason to keep on going. It´s a grand way to use my restlesness. The weather doesn´t matter anymore. When I´m not at work, I´m out in the daytime takin´ photos and painting at home in the afternoon and night time. I´m even beginning to have my afternoon naps outside on benches in parks
The overall point is to see more and think less :D

Painting is like...a billion and a half descisions
Taking photos is like...absorbing the surroundings completely

Your "picture poetry" is awesome. It leaves so much to the individual's imagination. It creates a personal conversation with the art allowing the viewers to look upon it in their own distintive way. It's really cool Nic!

I´m so glad you feel that way Cynth. It´s such a pleasure to communicate that way. It´s so great if a picture or painting is kind of open to interpet or to absorb
