Claude Larson - Environment (Selected Sound-ST.116) (1978)

A while away from my blog, so here i'm back, escaped - hope more than a couple of days - from the village. I found over 30 library LP's a week ago on the local village flea market (among a lot of Orchestra April, Happy Records, Charles Talar, recent Telemusic & others). One of these was this Claude Larson record from 1978 hiden in a wrong sleeve ! A happy issue, cause the credit titles on the wrong sleeve (Music for...t.v,video,film,radio,illustration 3 - Coppelia RC.503) sounds not so good than this LP !
Right time to rip this record even if they're some "crips" on the surface. So, i've added the right sleeve to this post (thanks to discogs) and have scanned the inner vinyl labels. This record remind me sometimes - among the disco stream - the french band Air on "Rain-Forest" or the hypnotic feel & organ from Spacemen 3 on "Swamps".

So, enjoy Claude Larson's oscillators controlled computer...

the saucer people writes: last two comments had me cracking up...number 6 and litlgrey, ever considered a double act..funnyasfuck. Just how many records has Claude Larson made?!? Every few months I stumble across a new one thanks to blogs like yours, not that I am complaining, at the very least on every album I have heard by him are a few killer "cuts" as they no longer say. ps> you got this from a flea market along with 30 other library records?!? I am clearly living in the wrong country..all we get in England is dodgy K-Tel compilations and "thats what I call music" though I hear the latter compilations got done under the trading descriptions act ;)

I have no idea how many Larson made. Probably more than I will ever know. That isn't even his birth name, which is Klaus Netzle. I don't even know all the pseudonyms he may otherwise have used.

Probably more than the 33 records listed on Discogs. I were happy if i could live in England, in Wales, especially at ... Portmeirion ! (joke!!).

I was just lucky the day i found all these library lp's. the man who sales these lp's was working for a humanity care association. He absolutly didn't know the value of them. Just among glasses, clothes and other kind of kitscheries ! A one shot opportunity ...

;-)

be seeing you !

It's so much better when they don't know what they're selling!
