Phil Collins Reopens Old Feud With Noel Gallagher

Phil Collins may have retired from music but that hasn’t stopped him getting involved in a feud with another musician.
The Genesis man has reopened an old argument with Noel Gallgher, who previously attacked him for his political views.
Before the 2005 General Election in the UK, Gallagher said: "Vote Labour: if you don't and the Tories get in, [Collins] is threatening to come back from Switzerland, and none of us want that."
In a interview with The Times Collins responded to the comment, saying: "I don't care if he likes my music or not. I do care if he starts telling people I'm a wanker because of my politics.
“It's an opinion based on an old misunderstood quote."

Noel Gallagher 'has a go' at Glasto

Rocker Noel Gallagher has been outspoken once again in his criticism of this year's Glastonbury Festival.

Gallagher believes the music festival has lost it's edge and it is all to do with the headliner rapper Jay-Z.

"If it ain't broke don't fix it," he said. "If you start to break it then people aren't going to go. I'm sorry, but Jay-Z? No chance.

"Glastonbury has a tradition of guitar music and even when they throw the odd curve ball in on a Sunday night you go 'Kylie Minogue?' I don't know about it. But I'm not having hip hop at Glastonbury. It's wrong."

Oasis, themselves headlined the event in 1995 and 2004 - on both occasions the event sold out. But this year there are still tickets left.

On a separate note, Gallagher also set the record straight about rumours that Oasis are about to take up residency at the O2 Arena in London.

Gallagher said: "We'll never play the O2. We went there to see Led Zeppelin and to be honest the gig was fantastic, but it was the most soul destroying venue I've ever been to. And much to our manager and agent's disappointment we came back and said we would never play there.

"It's too Americanised for me, and it's too far away. Any gig you can get to by boat that hasn't got a beach is wrong."

Kasabian have been forced to call in a musical enforcer to make them finish their new album.
Bassist Chris Edwards told me at a Kickz fundraiser: "We go to the studio, potter around, eat sandwiches and it's hard to get things finished. We're about 80 per cent done now.
"We're going to play it for Noel Gallagher in a couple of weeks.
He speaks his mind."

Noel Gallagher goes on the rampage with actor James Corden

Oasis star Noel Gallagher got a free pass from his missus on Wednesday - and used it to relive his glory days of long ago.
Sneaking out of London's Groucho Club for a fag with Gavin and Stacey actor James Corden, the pair started rubbing bellies in the street.
Then furry-hatted Mighty Booshman Noel Fielding joined the fun - stalking the dancing drunks with a loaded hairdryer.
Let's hope poor Noel G felt OK in the morning.

The showbiz fight of the year is over. Noel Gallagher and Kenickie from Grease have kissed and made up. Their feud kicked off backstage at a Marilyn Manson gig in LA, when Kenickie AKA Jeff Conaway, 57, pulled a knife on the Oasis frontman who'd been mocking him. Oasis' Noel Gallagher takes up shooting – Tabloid Hell

Apparently Noel has been stocking up on firearms in the USA

Oasis’ Noel Gallagher has got a new hobby, according to the Daily Mirror – shooting.

The newspaper reports that Gallagher has been sending text messages to Kasabian’s Tom Meighan about his new hobby, revealing that he has been stocking up on firearms for his new hobby as he mixes the new Oasis album in Los Angeles.

Meighan told the newspaper: “He sent me a text about going shooting in America, and about how scared he was of shooting himself.

“I’ve not heard from Noel in a while, so as soon as he’s finished recording in LA it would be nice to meet up and find out what happened. He was going to get some guns and rifles I think. It was supposed to be a leisurely day out or hobby to get stuck into.”

Grease star Jeff Conaway pulls a knife on Noel Gallagher

The Gallagher brothers are known to enjoy a good old scrap, but Noel needs to pick his fights a bit more carefully.
When he decided to take the mickey out of ageing Grease star Jeff Conaway - aka Kenickie - the Oasis rocker had a knife pulled on him!
It all kicked off backstage at a Marilyn Manson concert in LA.
Noel and Liam were knocking back absinthe when they were interrupted by Jeff, waving his walking stick.
They should have sussed he was trouble - Jeff, 57, appeared raging in a wheelchair on US TV show Celebrity Rehab, battling addictions to cocaine and alcohol.
Instead they scoffed.
Noel tells Russell Brand's Radio 2 show: "Kenickie shouted, 'I've had four back operations, you know.' "So I said, 'So get yourself out of that wheelchair then!' "He said, 'I've had four operations but I can still pull a knife on you.' And he pulled out a big blade.
We thought: 'You're going down, Kenickie.'"

Gallagher brothers happy with Eriksson's performance

London, March 2: Noel and Liam Gallagher of the rock band Oasis are all praise for Sven-Göran Eriksson, the Manchester City manager, for transforming their football team this season.

"Sven's a legend," Liam was quoted as saying by Thesun.co.uk. And Noel added: "I think history will see he was a good manager for England and it was the players who weren't up to standard. I love him, though. He's a ladies' man, isn't he? He looks like Mr. Burns from 'The Simpsons'.

Liam chipped in: "He's Swedish though. They're always up to something. I never thought I'd kiss his head but when I see him, I'm gonna kiss his bald little head."
