Who are we? We are two brothers working for Opera on the Opera Turbo and we like to pack things flat. You can watch our experiment with packing Web pages very flat. Heeeei.
We love packing and when people are packing on the other side of the earth we love that too. Here we have 128 beers in a cooler by mr. DotEd. This is some serious packing with no holes in the bottom.
We were doing the site seeing and looking for some very bad Internet connections, but somehow we have wandered into a very forbidden place. Check out the video for some action.
Fortunately we made it back to our tent and we remembered our grandfather saying that back in Norway if you dig a deep enough hole you will end up in china so we figured that the opposite must also be true. We have started to dig the hole and we should be back in Norway soon. We know the word is spreading about Opera 10 because now the Chinese are trying to dig the hole to Norway to get this incredible browser themselves. We tried to explain they can just download it from Opera.com but their Norwegian is not too good. Well, we better get back to digging so we can tell grandpa to pick some extra fish and potato for these guys.
Well, hello. We are still enjoying the Beijing. We must have done a great job with the moose-grid cause we haven't seen a single moose.
Also the food here in China is very good but these noodles I tried were terribly dry and very hard to swallow. And Odd finally solved that old chopstick problem they have over here. Speaking of the moose, we went to the zoo to see what other animals they have in China. We saw that the Chinese like to keep the polar bear living together. But we don't think this is a very good idea because they have black eyes and live in trees. As you can see in this little video.
Well, we better get back to the site seeing because like my grandfather says; you cant have the herring for breakfast every day! Heeeei.
We made great time rowing from Norway using my grandfathers knowledge of the sea and fish around the world. And we knew we were getting close to China when we started fishing the goldfish: After fishing the goldfish we landed by the sea and we were happy to see the rocks again: We are impressed by China very much. They have done the packing of people into the country. There must be at least a thousand people here. And maybe even two thousands. We think some other Norwegians must have arrived before us called "Rick" and "Shaw" as many taxi drivers seem to call us this. Some China people also are from the family: If you see our grandfather back home tell him we are ok and that we have been remembering his advice. Especially about hair drying while showering. Anyway watch the video and we will see you tomorrow and tell you more about the slowest connection with the Opera Turbo because we will fix that thing. Ok, hade bra.
Well, we have decided to leave Norway to see if Opera 10 works just as good in the other country. In our valley back in Norway we only have a little more than 8 people, 2 dogs and 17 Moose, so we want to go somewhere where the Internet is more crowded to test our favorite feature, the Opera Turbo.
And where better to go than China. Our grandfather told us that they have packed more people into that country than any other. And as you know, we like good packing.
So we have got out the family boat and started rowing. Last time one of our family left for the other country was our great, great, great grandfathers Knut the Viking, but we are not going on any trip like that. The less said about Knut, the better.
Well, we better get back to the rowing. As our grandfather says; the fish does not grow the potato themselves.
Først og fremst, thanks everyone for suggesting the slowest connections in really packed places! Opera rolled out Opera 10 final today, which comes with Turbo, something that Odd and I worked hard on dag og natt...
We have chosen the destination for our travel and it is.... taramtaramtaram.... China!!! We were told we are going to Hutongs. Hutongs are small narrow streets and alleys. Most commonly associated with Beijing, so that's the city too. Follow us on our travel, we'll send updates and post pics from our journey there. We also have a video coming. If you see us on our way, come say If you need some serious compression to be done to your heavy luggage, oversized mother-in-law or 20 beers you want to fit into allowed 100 ml travel package, ping us!
