There's no such thing as bad weather...

A few days ago, in a comment to a beautiful post made by Follherbe, I told her something like "there is no such thing as bad weather". We've been having here a bit of rain. And wind. So, do I have the guts to take my camera into this bad weather ? Well, I got out. And these are just a few of the shots I took, it's a sample of the day. Tell me if it is worth to go into the rain and wind. I'm expecting your comments. Please, be gentle... The show is about to begin. We're waiting... Catching the wave Getting up Riding the wave Falling Gone Looking for waves Waves are getting stronger One last ride I've had enough Tomorrow is another day I'll be seeing you ! Orlando

Can you see it ?Rainbow

If you can keep the camera dry, then 'wet and windy' can be fabulous. Great sequence of the surfer.

Faisons l'apologie du mauvais temps!!!
Tu as raison tes photos sont magnifiques!!!
La prochaine fois que j'irai à Mimizan,
j'espère qu'il y aura une tempête!!!:D

I envy that your sky is looking like that when it's raining. Usually when it rains here, the sky is all grey and dull.

The last photo is awesome!

@ Joe - Thank you, my friend. I gather the Ozarks are far away from the ocean. As I can tell by your photos, the Ozarks are beautiful, indeed.
@ Words - You're right, Words. I kept mine dry ! And thank you. I had my cam at full speed, but I had a slow SD card, so it was the only decent sequence I could get. (note to myself: always use fast SD card...).
@ Foll - Merci bien, Foll. Le ciel était gris, sauf cette lieu, oú le soleil resemble l'or. J'aimerai bien d'avoir une 600 mm... J'attend par les photos de Mimizan. :D
@ Zaphira - Hi, Zaphira, and thank you. Most of the sky was greyish, except for that spot, where it was golden. In the surfer sequence you actually can notice the rain, it's that dark area from top left to bottom right. Of course that rain was far away in the sea, at that time I didn't caught a drop !

You've got very interesting series, Orlando  It was a pleasure for me to see your so to say "bad weather" because we had -30 that day... and I even had no opportunity to go outdoors

FolleHerbe 2. December 2008, 09:24

D'accord Orlando!!! Je penserai à toi...

José Torres 2. December 2008, 13:55

If you call that bad weather, you don't know what really means "bad weather"!! :irked:
That is simply beautiful!!

Orlando 2. December 2008, 18:47

@ Zé and Leffe - Thank you, my friends ! :D You now, the surfers's friends were just smartasses, trying to be funny. I said I was doing a job for Surf Magazine. They believed me and left me alone... They were really Homer: Doh!
@ Zeffie - You can be assured I know what bad weather is... Is light rain good for your cam ? No, it's bad ! So, it's bad weather... :D Ok, let's say it was a beautiful bad weather !!!

MrLeffe 2. December 2008, 19:35

MrLeffe 2. December 2008, 23:30

In one of the pictures I could see a tail, then the dogs where gone.

Orlando 2. December 2008, 23:33

Not so stange. The surfers had their tails in the water !!! :D

the sky is look miraculous and i really like the way you lead the story  .

one more thing, i like two last pics

Orlando 5. December 2008, 17:56

Lena, you're always welcome ! :D

José 7. January 2009, 23:14

Great photos.
Living near the sea is great.
The first one is in Lagos, right?

Orlando 7. January 2009, 23:21

Ooops, no... Praia da Rocha, Portimão. I shot from Sta Catarina fort. All the others were taken just to the right of that peer.

José Torres 7. January 2009, 23:28
