This kibitzing on politics can get addictive, you know. When the best the Reich-Wing can come up with is that if you are informed and fair you are automatically a LibRul - TM Reg'd, that is tantamount to a frank admission : that the so-called Right are liars, cheats and thieves. And since Might makes Right thus we finish the equation.
But Pyjamas Media was enthusiastically going through its shtick making mountains out of molehills and railing against 'traitors' and Muslims - and pointed me to a 'subversive' antiAmerican tome. That's what you get for disputing lies these days. Here's the offender
Zionist Lies Exposed
You might note the distinct separation of hating/fearing a violent supremacist group; not conflating them with a larger societal ethnic-religious group in this piece.
You know I like to credit my sources, right ? Top Islamic cleric threatens U.S. on Egyptian TV
We'll fix that for you in a jiffy. I'm sure CNN would jump at the chance to give an honest report. Maybe Tweety could moderate. You know, the guy who, at the time of the invasion of Iraq, was promoting the idea of spreading the attack to include Syria and other no-gooders. Just a matter of taking advantage of an opportunity while the troops were in the area. ( I don't where there's a link. Didn't you freaking hear him ? My jaw dropped.)
Evaluate whether or not an actual threat might be implied : the difference could be a simple MEMRI problem.
Apparently Hamas is reprehensibly causing Gazans to shield their munitions with their bodies - an inefficient ploy which negatively affects merchandising murder as a desired end. Dedicated advertisers those Gazans.
Who remembers 'Hogan's Heroes ?' I was trying to figure out what it would have been like if the prisoners were constrained to keep all their efforts at distraction and supply out in the open. I'm sure efficiency studies could be made on the results of opening yourself up to total destruction while in the middle of being assaulted. I'll have to remember to censure Hamas for bad manners. Tsk !
Ah, but the righteous US will work for the Right.
Militant Islam threatens us all
Here we go again. This time it's supposedly poor Israel which, in fear for its existence, points the finger at Iran.
Frankly, Ahmadinejad is far from my favourite public person : which helps make him a good target. Iran, however, isn't Ahmadinejad : and anyone talking about support of terrorists should remember that the U.S. and U.K. have been conducting black ops against the Iranian government and military for some time. It's not like this is a change of pace.
By this time the news that Iran proposes to aid Hamas - too late for it to do any good - makes it clear they aren't worried about making Brownie Points in the U.S. press, but don't mind providing some solidarity with the neighbours against Israel's military.

In2theFray provided a distraction for a moment - the Obama thread.
(1) "How can you have effective fair free trade in a global economy subject to currency manipulation where the value of work across the planet varies insanely ? Think for a moment about the balance of payments with China - an echo of a previous situation with Japan. Americans cannot compete - and gorge themselves with cheap junk.
Talk about stress on the U.S. dollar is not necessarily China's fault in this case !
That's why the economic order is going through convulsions. That and the fact that the U.S. government removed controls on the need for reasonable expectation of repayment from borrowers back to lenders : which replicates the international situation."
(2) "There is another item worth note. We live in the Industrial Revolution still : where energy is diverted into manufacturing and transportation producing an ever increasing abundance. This increase in the fruits of labour can offset a change in the value of 'fiat money' - so called because it does not represent anything concrete at all - as long as the process can continue. Increased demand will run up against finite resources. Institutional looting of the value of money via 'interest' just ran up against the laws of supply and demand. Crunch !"
A more positive thought came on the 'Economically speaking isn't this better' article, though. It's a Horatio Alger thing...but who remembers those stories any more ?

Well. I'm not going to precis that! There's more material there than there is in this post.
Somali ghost city wracked by war
The current policy of the U.S. government is to attack and destroy Islamic governments - a racist religiously targeted program with results consistent wherever they are employed. Iraq and Afghanistan are only two other stops in this antigovernment program. I'm sure we all agree the focus on destroying local authority in oil bearing regions is a complete coincidence having absolutely nothing to do with oil company monopolists openly in power in the U.S. government. The PNAC is a Conspiracy Theory ! ( Openly Promoted )
U.S. to lead new anti-piracy force
Just look at the picture of what was hijacked.
Meantime, back in the U.S.
Gotta keep the wheel with all those shiny mirrors spinning.
And here's our hope for interfaith cooperation.
