The way education was - "compared to the 1970's, today's students are uneducated and unfit for a college education."
( Even though a perennial habit of geezers is disparaging youth, this one made it into book form. Since I believe 'No Child Left Behind' an act of educational sabotage, I pointed out http://www.deliberatedumbingdown.com/
Forgotten Lincoln ( I despised memorization. Some remember it still, evidently. I can't say reading Pauline Johnson or Longfellow was engendered in me by the practice. )

Obam and liberals :a counter-productive relationship
( The U.S.A. HAS liberals ? Quick - who's a liberal ? Now go to my usual standard of comparison - and stand in the corner with the conical cap on Molly's Blog Unrealistic, you say ? Consider it pushback for MSM moving the Overton Window: tit for tat.
Think about the gist of the post, too. Lack of a popular left. Oops.
Remember Streisand/Redford in 'The Way We Were' ? That was an attempt to reintroduce the notion of perspective. Can you imagine the courage of Charlie Chaplin, who stood against open Nazism ?

Another extensive list blown away by freeze-up of Opera.
It's strange to think I have more success blogging in Firefox - though it had a crashfest yesterday - because it holds data in the buffer. Then I can't change link order without manually posting them - though I seem to be doing that more in Opera too as the list gets longer because it won't add links reliably !

EMPIRE BURLESQUE
Without a Trace - the smokeless gun of flagrant election fixing
( The Times blames this on 'mistakes'. Sure - the same way that Iraqi, Somali and Afghan civilians are accidentally bombed in their homes from the air. If they were really mistakes - there wouldn't be 'justification' by policy and constant repetition in various places. )
The Orwellosphere : Anglo-American drive to 'Total Security State' rolls on

"There has never been any evidence presented that the Taliban regime in Afghanistan had any operational role - or even any knowledge - of an attack on the United States."
( Muslims, Taliban and Al Qaeda are not distinguised as separate, let alone tribes or often individuals. Else why are known innocents still 'interned' in Gitmo ? The CIA's paid goons are at work in Iran assassinating military and political figures - and it's not just the SAS doing it. Al Qaeda. Still. Funny about that. )
