Hey
So today we released Unite as ya'll probably noticed. We have been working on this for more than 3 days to put it that way ;-)

Does anyone have any cool ideas for services that can be developed? Anyone planning to make some themselves?
You will see updates on the existing services from us and also new ones, but I think it's interesting to see what the community can come up with :-)

Opera Turbo.. W00t?Facts, when do they matter in marketing? Only when it fits Apple?

Some services ideas:

Poll
I want to ask my frends if they will come to my party, or if they think that new iPhone is worth its money, or what car to buy: Toyota Prius or Honda Insight...

Wish list
I want to show my frends what I want, so they can buy a good present

Calendar
With ability to edit for some people.

To Do
Maybe as plug-in to Calendar

Some interface to show pictures from web cam

Improved statistics usage for each service

Permanent logging for each service

*Optionally* if user is offline show statistics when user usually online
There also can be a message option for "offline page". Statistics also can show when computer was last time seen online.

A service related to Jamendo, the free music site (www.jamendo.com). Something to show which music I downloaded from jamendo and see what my friends found over there. Another, better way to share and discover music.

Sure, but did you read upload terms? Why would any developer want to upload his own services to operaunite.com and give to Opera Software ASA unrestricted and irrevocable rights to his own work?

Thanks, but instead I will let people download services created by me from my Unite server

Definitely want ICS support, I dreamt of a calendar in Opera, but that never happenned, if it can happen with OperaUnite, then I'm supporting the idea. (If Opera could sync the file (as an option) on MyOpera to be seen by everyone, that would be even more great!)

Games like Chess & Tic Tac Toe. Old school games like those multi-player spaceship games (msdos games). I remember one that you had to destroy the enemy's cannon by aiming it (setting coordinates).
But my main suggestion is WebCast. Like the plain chat we already have plus WebCam support for the host computer only. +1

I've got a idea for Unite -- an ad block service, like the ABP plug-in on firefox. =)

majost: Unite services aren't browser add-ons. They are separate services (applications).

I realize it is a service -- however as a service, it should still be be able to fetch and parse http://adblockplus.mozdev.org/easylist/easylist.txt to update urlfilter.ini

Edit:
This can also be taken a step further by making it possible for Opera users to subscribe to other Unite users block lists for a more dynamically update list. (P2P sytle perhaps?)
