post, new year, grace, blog
...
2005 was the time of the weird.... 2006 was the time of the slow.... 2007 is the time of grace.
do we learn more from success or more from failures?

career, ads, Google, money
...
What makes a person "good" ... money, career, religion, lifestyle, etc? No, the answer is associated with the person's Internet habits. Specifically, a good person is one who clicks my ads as many times as possible.

I need to learn to 'think inside the box' .... cause the more I know, the more I realize that nothing matters but your relationship with God. Of course, it's easy to come up with something to rebute that, but in the end, you'd be wrong

I'm thinking about taking some classes in programming. I'm at a point in my business where I can't do anything more without relying on the skills of programmers... this makes ''testing'' mult ideas imactical.
If I could program, I would be able to test all my ideas myself... and I wouldn't be left sitting around at my house pulling the hair out of my head... I would be working.

I took my boat out one afternoon with Jennifer.... there was a tropical storm down near Fort Myers at the time, however, it was supposed to go the other way.
I was out in the Gulf of Mexico 21 miles... it was foggy, rather calm, and no boats anywhere. We were fishing for grouper and doing very well. I went to start the boat only to find it was screwed up. I played with the motor for a while and noticed the coil (which was supposed to have been fixed) was completely screwed.
I notice the ocean current was rather strong, and we were drifting further out to sea. I threw the anchor over, however, it snapped the rope. We continued to drift further out... in the distance we saw some crazy looking clouds and it was getting dark. I took some extra roap and wrapped it around a spare battery and used that for an anchor (it worked).
I was very worried, however, I stayed calm because I didn't want to scare Jen. She was sitting in the back fishing and didn't even realize how much trouble we were in. The scariest moment for me was when I made the first call for help on the radio... I knew if they didn't hear us (which was very possible) that we were screwed.
I called a few times and no answer... finally, I barely hear someone answer. Long story short, they said if we were out even a 1/2 mile more, they would not have been able to pick up our radio singal.
The rescue boat (sea tow) came out and towed us in... on the way in, we saw a water spout in the distance... and the seas started to get rough. That next morning the tropical storm passed right over where we were.
Moral of the story... never go out far in the ocean on a boat with only one engine. And always have a working radio and check the weather.
