Get Er Done!

religion, creation, athiest, god
...
Humans are the most advanced mechanisms known to man - we are self-aware, we are capable of regulating body heat, we can turn food into usable energy, we can fix ourselves (healing), reproduce, think, grow, love, etc... and our brain's operate on principles associated with a quantum computer.... which we aren't even able to explain via mathematical models - let alone design one. So we must ask ourselves this question: Is something as complex/functional as the human body simply the product of random chance and time? Short answer - No!
In regards to the complexity argument (every watch has a watch maker) - Atheist claim it fails for the following reason: If humans must be designed, due to our complexity, then how can God be omnipotent...wouldn't he need a designer as well?
Here's the answers: In order to successfully apply the complexity argument, the system must be analyzed so it can be defined. Humans, cars, watches, etc can all be defined as complex/functioning mechanisms - and logic dictates that machines do NOT create themselves.
God, however, can NOT be analyzed/defined; we can NOT say he is any type of mechanism, therefore, no conclusions can be made - God is outside the scope of our understanding. It should be noted that it's NOT "unscientific" to suggest that certain aspects of reality are beyond scientific explanation. In fact, just the opposite is true....
According to Stephen Hawkings, "the laws of physics break down at the point of singularity because there was NO time and NO space... it looks like the entire universe came from nothing." In other words, the origins of the universe fall outside the scope of our understanding (similar to God).
If it's "logical" to assume that there is NO God - can anyone point to a single scientific fact to support that claim? Answer - NO!
If science can NOT be used to disprove God, then why do atheist always reference it to back up their claims? When pushed, they typically break by saying, "well, one day, we'll figure it all out"... in other words, they are acting on "blind faith" ... hmm, and I thought atheism wasn't supposed to be a 'belief' system?
Science is simply a tool that allows us to understand the world that we live in... nothing more.
A child could believe that a car, for example, operates by "magical forces," However, later in life he could use science to understand how it functions.... this "understanding" does NOT, however, suggest in anyway whatsoever that the car did NOT have a creator. In fact, it does just the opposite.
Again, the same analogy can be used on humans (which are far more complex than cars) ... we can analyze/define ourselves and therefore, draw a logical conclusion i.e. we were designed.
Another stupid rebuttal to the intelligent design argument:
"Well, humans, unlike cars, are "organic," and therefore, are somehow dismissed from needing a creator(because we are "natural")... In other words, the fact that organic systems have the unique ability to adapt to their environment proves we do NOT require a designer.
This, of course, is absurd .... Being "organic" only suggest a better/more sophisticated mechanism. The ability for organic life forms to adapt to their environment only illustrates more sophistication - why does a better mechanism exclude it from having a designer - wouldn't it do just the opposite?

My girl is leaving to visit her parents on the 23rd, so we've spent the last few days partying (our new years). Unfortunately, this will be my last night of fun for awhile.

Thank God I don't have kids... it makes it ok for me to be a dumb ass risk taker

I almost have my license for a single engine plane.... soon I can fly around at night and shine lights at people.

This is a picture of the back of my granddad's old barn... the land belongs to someone else now. When I was little, I used to play here with my friends Josh and Mike:

Here is another picture of the same barn.... if you look at the side wall, you'll notice holes in the plywood. Mike and I knocked these in the side to use for steps leading to the roof... we typically just used a tree to get on the roof, but we thought it was smart to have a secondary access. After all, there were "very important" things hiding on that roof

Thanks to jen for the pictures!

I personally do NOT believe that aliens have visited Earth because of the great distances between solar systems. I know many people will say "well maybe the aliens have technology capable of intergalactic travel". Those people are usually 'not up-to-date' with modern laws of physics, and, are not seeing the whole picture.
Even if the technology did exist to travel great distances (worm holes, etc), there is still the problem of finding us among infinity (and the motive). The motive would most likely be to establish communication.... not flying around for photographic opportunities.
The truth is I seriously doubt there's even other intelligent life out there, but I'm open-minded.

I was driving a red flare side truck in 10th grade... I just left from one of my sisters pre wedding dinners or some shit. I had a few drinks and I was feeling it -- especially considering the fact that I never drank in high school. I was with my friend Josh and we were driving home.
We decided to stop by an infamous hang out spot (sand dunes)... We pulled up and there were more people there than we'd ever seen before (60 +).
***** Rewind the clock *****
The day before (Friday), Josh and I had seen someone stuck out in the sand dunes (green Ford Explorer). We went out there to help. The guy that was stuck, John, was our age. He was drunk off his ass (and it was only around 4 or 5pm)... he had two friends with him and they were sober.
**As we were pulling into the sand dunes, we noticed a Green Ford F-150 leaving.
Josh and I worked for a good hour getting this idot out of the sand.... the people he was with were very thankful and we felt good about helping the fool out.
***** Back to the story ******
We pulled up to the sand dunes, it's was about 10pm. Among the 20 + vehicles, I spotted the same green explorer that I helped get out of the dunes the day before... I walked over to it and immediately recognized John. He was arguing (inquiring) with this other guy (Jeff Herington) about why/if he lefted him out in the sand dunes the day before... Jeff was the guy me and Josh saw leaving in a green F-150 the day before.
John was a skinny sissy looking boy... he had his older brother with him and his older brother was involved in this ''argument''. As soon as John saw me, I saw him say something to his brother... and then he started saying something to Jeff. At that time, John's brother, Jeff, and about 15 other guys started walking over to me. John's brother (who was drunk) started talking shit to me and Josh (mainly me)... he started accusing me of leaving his brother stuck out in the sand dunes.
I was naturally pretty pissed about the situation and I knew where it was leading. I told John's brother that he's full of shit and that me and Josh were the one's that got John's car free. "The brother" asked John in front of everyone "are you sure this is the guy that left you"... I looked at John when he was asked this question... he looked at me, and he said "yes" ... I saw the look in his face, and I knew he was lying. He was drunk that day, however, he knew damn well that I was the guy that help him - not left him. What pissed me off even more was the fact that one of the other guys that was there the day before was standing behind John and didn't speak up.
In any case, John's brother was wanting to fight now (he would have lost that fight) ... at that time I turned to Jeff and said ''don't you drive that green F-150?" He step up beside John's brother and said ''yes''. At this time, I had about 30 - 40 guys surrounding me ... I then said, ''you're sorry asz was the one who left John, not me''... Jeff immediately took a wild asz swing at me ... I stepped back and tripped on a box spring mattress that was laying on the ground.
I quickly got up and to my surprise saw the entire crowd running at me - everyone ... I took off running as fast as I could and left them behind. I stopped and saw that two guys were still behind me. When they caught up to me, they were out of breath... I was standing there looking at them. One of them took a wild swing at me and I grab his throat and squeezed as hard as I could - he passed out. The other guy tried to tackle me superman style (it was pathetic). I kicked him and he feel down. My entire body was shaking and everything happened so fast that I still hadn't gotten my bearings ... plus I was still feeling that whine from earlier.
In any case, the two guys got up and started apologizing... the guy I kicked started bitching about his shirt... it was ripped and had blood on it. He started telling me how his dad died from cancer and gave him that shirt before he died... he was so mad at me and couldn't believe that I messed up his shirt (what a fool). I was still freaked out and by I saw Josh in the distance ... he was trying to figure out where I had gone. I met up with him, but my truck was still down with all those people... We looked down there and saw all of them standing very close to my truck. There was no way we could get down there without them seeing us..
************ story to be continued ..............
