impressions of another world
i'm verry sorry about the impossibility
to documentate an westafrican thunderstorm.
1st) i trumble 2nd) i didn't have a tripod
3rd) my camera is not the ultimate solution.
if you see the photos
with the big, big cloud towers going up in the sky
maybe you can imagine the power
and the wideness of african sky.
the african sky is higher than the european sky.

when the tower is big enough, it starts to cook.
around every 3 seconds a flash - hyperflash.
then the whole thing starts to move into your direction. takes about 30 - 45 minutes.
first the storm reaches you.
he throughs even heave, metal things around.
then you here a loud brawl, louder than the storm.
it's the rain. fills a barrel in a minute.
and then you think world war II has come back.
the thunders are like explosions from 1 ton blockbasters.

after 15 to 30 minutes the raging madness is on it's way to the next little village.
