because there are many, many, many more
i choose the counters with easy procedures.
some of them also count pageviews.
but they all distinguish
between visitors and pageviews.
new visitors - counts the 1st time somebody visits your blog
visitor - counts visits of your blog, friends are not counted once only
pageview - counts how many pages are visited
online - shows how many users are currently visiting your blog
the counters can be posted on
one or more sites in the same blog or homepage
showing always the same result.

you can change all your settings at any time.
you can specify for every counter another url.
also you can correct the count at any time
