why and what for
Windows Live Writer allows you to create, change, save and publish a blog post in wysiwyg manner. This post is completely written with the aid of Windows Live Writer.
You can create the post over some days to publish it then. A copy will be kept on Your local machine. You can postion pictures and photos, change them in size and many other attributes.
And You can manage different blogs, using Windows Live Writer as Your central organisation point. You can always see a list of Your blogs, a list of appropriated posts per blog and the real outlook while writing a new post. Here is a little example.

and this is italic.
this is big text.
now lets change the font family. (times new roman, bold, italic, 18pt)
How to install
Go to this page to download Windows Live Writer.
Click on the red button to install the current version.
The other button will install the live writer 2009 version - it’s a beta.
When windows asks You to install or to save, click on install.
Just follow the instructions (there are not many).
Normally You don’t have to restart Your computer.
A small introduction
To enlarge the pictures, click on them.
Click in the menu “Blogs”
on the option “Add blog account…”
Then click “Next”.
A new box appears.
Now you have to enter your myOpera
blog address
username
password
Your myOpera blog address
You’ll find in the address field of Your (opera) browser,
when You have selected Your own blog.
Just copy it with a right click.
and paste it in the input field of the box.
Give in Your nickname and password.
Then click the button next in the message box.
Now you have to select the type of your blog.
Click on the roll menu (select blog provider).
Select Metaweblog API
Now you have to enter the “Remote posting URL”
Copy Your blog's url again like before
and paste it in this field (You have to delete the text there).
Then You append api/
!!! Lowercase matters and You have to append a “slash” !!!
Then click next.
Now this message should appear.
Depending on Your securite settings
and the browser You are running
following message can appear afterwards:
Just click the button “Yes” (in the pic above “Ja” – he he).
After You have red the following message
You press the button “Ok”
Now You have reached the last message.
Click on “Install” and You can start.
