Helmet Day ^_^ !!!

Hey ! The helmet-day is coming soon here, on Sep 15th !
FROM THIS DAY ON, WHENEVER JUMPING ON MOTORCYCLES, VIETNAMESE HAVE TO "STICK" "PLASTIC POTs" ON THEIR HEADs !!! It s such a big event cause in some way, it will change the face of all the streets here! and more importantly it will change the habit of Vietnamese! and who knows it might change the way Vietnamese think about helmets
To other countries, putting helmets on when traveling by motorbike is nothing special, actually it s just a normal thing like the fact that people have to eat and sleep everyday in order to survive but, err…to Vietnamese, it really is an uneccessary thing, even little embarrassing.
Remember one year ago the government announced widely that all Vietnamese HAVE TO wear helmets when going by motorcycles ON HIGHWAYs. It did make effect on Vietnamese…people reluctantly obeyed because… we are so scared of policemen who stand always on the highways. We are just so proud of our ability to ride motors that we find it really silly when we have to carry big, bulky objects like electronic cooking-rice pots on our heads that way. Yeah it s a common feeling of Vietnamese about helmets. However, despite the fact that we HATE helmets, we can deny that wearing helmets is a good habit for it protects us, it saves ourlives.
Sooo…welcome helmet day!
Personally, in one hand I like helmet for its utility but, on the other hand, I hate it for that I may look like this one after getting it off my head
Ahhh and one more trouble is that I may have to take it with me wherever I run 2 or someone will steal it

Even a small bike can take you fast enough to remove all the skin from your hands and knees. They can recover to a certain extent but all head injuries cause lasting harm.
So if you can guarantee that other people are at least as good as you are at riding then go ahead and ignore the law.
It is well known that all British M/Cyclists are supermen and if it wasn't for all British car drivers being super stupid, they too wouldn't need head protection.
As for looking silly afterwards, just carry an hair brush with you and take the helmet off in a dressing room.
You can get open face helmets that look good with a suitable jacket. Something to match your shirts perhaps?
