Taking a hybrid class means that students attend classroom meetings on scheduled days but also receive part of their instruction online, via WebCT. The number of class meetings may be reduced and replaced by online classwork. Course activities, like discussions or tests, may take place in the classroom or online. Lessons will be provided in traditional lecture format or online.Whatever type of class structure you choose, you can find here a variety of courses from all over Greenville Tech. If you want to learn on a flexible schedule, you can do it through Online College.

On Wednesday, September 24th Oberlin College will welcome its second convocation speaker of the year, former Speaker of the United States House of Representatives Newt Gingrich. His presentation, "What's at Stake: Election 2008," will address the policy decisions under discussion by the presidential candidates, the motivations and strategies of their campaigns, and the solutions offered by each. Cecilia Muñoz, senior vice president of the National Council of La Raza and a leading advocate for the rights of immigrants. Ms. Muñoz will present "Trojan Horses: Threats to Our Constitutional Rights in the Immigration Policy Debate," at 4:30 p.m. in the West Lecture Hall of the Science Center. Constitution Day commemorates the 1787 signing of the United States Constitution.

Online Community College

is a consortium of Illinois Community Colleges sharing online courses and programs. When students sign up for online courses at their local community college, they have access to online offerings at other community colleges throughout the state. Students will be able to complete courses, degrees and certificate programs completely online. ILCCO allows students to handle registration, financial aid and transcripts through their local Illinois college, regardless of where the course is offered.Cerro Coso Community College was established in 1973 as a separate college within the Kern Community College District. Cerro Coso has five instructional sites (Eastern Sierra Center Bishop & Mammoth, Indian Wells Valley, Kern River Valley, and South Kern), which together form the largest geographical service area (18,000 square miles) of any community college in California and which serve a population of approximately 85,000. A leader in online education, Cerro Coso has been offering online classes since 1997 and offers 8 Associate degrees entirely online and as many as 100+ classes online each year, with approximately 100 sections per semester.
