Spring has arrived

, , ,

We are in the throws of springtime and it smells good. Ocean Springs has cleaned up pretty good with new businesses popping up now and then. Every time I drive down to the beach I see the progress being made with new houses going up on the slabs that Katrina left. As well there are condos and apartment complexes started to house those who want to come back. I love my small town and we are coming back.
My place is showing signs of spring. The azaleas are blooming and signs of new grass are coming up. My project this summer is planting grass where a tree once stood. As far as flowers being planted, the squirrels would love that so they can munch. Even my daffodils might just make it if the mower doesn't get them first. Possibly might get a house painting. Expensive it will be so I need to do some pricing beforehand. I would like to change the color but that is another issue. Inside, I would dearly love to recarpet and install a new bathroom shower stall. Otherwise I am pleased with and dearly love my home as is.
My plans to move elsewhere have fallen by the wayside. I still have hopes to go elsewhere but want to be closer to Ken or Chicago family.
My latest internet hobby is food blogs. I have created one of my own called Granny's Tasties] where I discuss recipes, food blogs and just food in general. It was fun to set up and continue to add my musings. I also have started my own 2007 recipe book at BHG with recipes I find here and there. I call it BOUCHER'S TASTY COOKBOOK. It is on my hard drive so at some time I would like to print it for myself.
