Global Warming...Yeah Right!!??

Let's see now, it's April 12, 2008 and the current temperature in St.Charles, Illinois is hovering around 40-degrees. Rain with a possible mix of snow is the forecast.

For gosh sakes, I need to start taking water off of the pool cover soon. Last spring, the pool was up and swimmable the first week of June

If I continue to complain about the weather, will it change anything

no, it won't, but it feels good to vent. Um...forecast for next week looks promising. Maybe 70-F by Wednesday

spring break 2008

Spring break 2008 is coming to a close. Literally, it came in like a lion (rain, snow, mixure of both) putting me in a foul mood.

With no plans to travel anywhere warm, all I could do is say "make the best of this week, despite the weather". The break did however, end like a lamb. Great weather today and yesterday. Well I persuaded

my partner that I would wash and put up the screens, so I could watch the Cub game at the same time (TV's in all window rooms

Yesterday was a good day. Today was rather routine, doing laundry, doing online stuff and trying to finish Barack's book "Dreams from my Father" (have less than 100 pages to go). The highlight of the week was joining LifeTime Fitness, which is in the vicinity of work. What I liked the most is their policy of allowing same gender partners to join as a couple (showing joint checking account deposit slip for proof). This company and their committment to the customer is unfounded in this business. And the timing of joining this club is very timely. We just celebrated 11 years together (ups and downs, but 11 years never-the-less)
