Dirty messy job but great therapy

By popular demand (not really) I am posting photos and talking briefly about opening a 24-foot round pool for the season. Editors note: Even though Pat and I bought a new $100 pool cover, we did not cover it for some unknown reason Homer: Doh! So this makes it more labor intensive for me (and her, cuz she's helping this year :furious:
This could be the "before" picture. Have added algecide, skimmed top, but not vacuumed yet, that takes two people.

Misc. equipment on the pool deck.

Pool house, bag of DE, Shock and other tools. It is handy to have a trampoline to place things on it

The DE filter, and motor which is the  and soul of the pool, "treat your filter well and it will love you" (Copyright C. Burton 5/31/2009)

The skimmer box filled with what I call "caterpillar seeds" They are a pain in the banana but when you live in the country among trees, banana happens!!

And last, but not least, a photo of part of the back yard from the pool deck. Have a fire pit and beautiful perennial gardens (that's not my job!) throughout and in the front bye bye for now

Have a fire pit

I want one of those!

Looks like you have plenty of room there.

Yes, come on over! I'll supply the beer

I've tried to like wine and liquor, but for me, a nice malty beer is where it's at. Goes well with fire pits.

That pool looks like a lot of work! :faint:
Best of luck with it.

Summer is a-coming in!

I love your yard! Mine is so patchy - and it looks like I'm a commercial dandelion farmer. :D

It's a labor of love and sun block!

Almost 2 acres
